Hooked on VBT

As our first cycling trip and first trip with VBT, I could not have had a better experience. It was such a treat to have all the gear ready for you each day, many meals provided, excellent chats and tips for the day from our guides, socializing and getting to know fellow travelers and top notch hotels. We shared many stories and loved the group we were cycling with. After the pandemic's impact on travels, it was a lot of fun cycling in beautiful Colorado and enjoying the adventures of travel again.

Excellent tour run by a truly superb tour company!

This is a fantastic trip led by an excellent tour company! From the very beginning, it was obvious this was going to be a great trip. From the moment you book, VBT maintains a steady line of communication leading up to the start of the trip to make sure you know everything necessary and bring what is needed. The transportation arrangements were superb. Once on the trail, the guides are really top notch. Our two guides went the extra mile to get us a 10 mile ride on a section of trail that had been closed due to a mudslide earlier in the year, giving us a great ride up Glenwood Canyon. It had only just re-opened that morning! Accommodations are all in high-end hotels and lodges. One of the most interesting was the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, a beautiful 19th century resort where such notables as Theodore Roosevelt and William H. Taft once stayed. From beginning to end, this is a solid tour run by an experienced and capable tour company. Highly recommended!

Superb tour, beautiful scenery, expert guides!

This is a fantastic trip led by wonderful, capable guides. Everything from the initial greeting at Red Mountain Resort to the final shuttle to the airport was excellent. There was so much beautiful scenery that was impossible to capture in photographs. All the accommodations were very nice and comfortable and the meals were excellent. The guides were very good at their jobs, and made sure everybody was comfortable and safe throughout the week. Their recommendations for extra rides, hikes or places to eat were always on the nose. This is a great trip to see some beautiful scenery in the American West!

Cycling for lobster rolls and blueberry pie!

We thoroughly enjoyed our self-guided VBT Acadia National Park cycling trip. This was our first self-guided cycling experience and this location was perfect. The GPS worked really well and, as expected, the bicycles were great. We were able to explore at our own pace having ample opportunity to improvise. The Carriage Roads within Acadia are a pure joy. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The accommodations were both wonderful. We highly recommend the self-guided cycling trip in Acadia National Park.

Love Vermont and this tour

This is my first VBT bike tour and it did not disappoint, starting from sign up to finish. Chris our contact person in Vermont was so helpful, going out of his way to make sure our seats/bikes worked the best for us. The routes that were chosen were beautiful with interesting stops along the way and the lodging very nice. Ride with GPS worked really well, once we got the hang of it. We really like the freedom of the self-guided tour, along with VBT's organization.

VBT Vermont bike tour

My wife and I recently completed a VBT tour in Vermont in the Middlebury and Vegennes area. We were looking for cool weather, the changing of the leaves and fresh air to breathe and relax. All was provided and the trip exceeded all our expectation. The accomodations were excellent. The others on the tour were so nice and the host, Gerry, was just great, going beyond what would be expected. I highly recommend this tour and Vermont Bike Tours. They took great care of us.

Beautiful Scenery

The scenery was incredible, especially at the 3 places where we stayed during the trip. The trip leaders were excellent and very attentive to the group. The additional excursions, kayaking, Butchart Gardens, a visit to a cheese farm, wine and cider tasting were a lot of fun. I would have classified the biking as moderate, the 1st 3 days were quite hilly but I did improve my cycling skills.

First bicycle tour anywhere for us, AWESOME!

We loved every minute of this tour thru the desert. Trip was well organized, the leaders (Jim and Kat) were knowledgeable about local history, geography, restaurants, culture...you name it. This was a great way to see the desert, had wonderful accommodations and food, trip lengths varied so that you could "pick your poison"...I can't say enough about how much fun my wife and I had on this trip. Totally exceeded our expectations for what this trip would be. We've signed up for another VBT trip next year and might do another one as well in the spring.

Rugged beauty.

The trip is a great experience in the desert southwest. The terrain is rugged but beautiful. Lots of history mixed with artistry out in the wild. Tucson is a great city to bike around.

Unbelievable landscapes!

Our two trip leaders were wonderful! Very understanding, patient and kind with me on my first VBT vacation. Each place we stayed at were exceptional. I hope to do another trip in the near future. Everyone in our group of (20) were thoughtful and friendly.

Delightful, Carefree Trip

What a lovely trip! This was my first VBT trip, and it certainly did not disappoint. Everything went off without a hitch due to all the planning of the VBT staff and our great guides. Wonderful accommodations and delightful bike rides through both scenic areas as well as historic city sections, with options for shorter or longer rides. All the guests on the trip were friendly and helpful. Good people in the great outdoors; who could ask for better.

Georgia & Florida: Jekyll Island & St. Augustine

Florida's Historic Coast

This trip's activities were perfectly balanced. In addition to the daily biking, there were historic tours, kayaking, and down time. The leaders anticipated my needs before I even knew what I needed! They were great company too. The bike routes were planned thoughtfully with plenty of options to bike more or less. This part of Florida is enchanting, and I learned a lot of it's fascinating history - one I never knew.

Southern Charm X's 10!

First time VBT rider and I can't say enough good stuff about the trip, the guides or the company. The trip exceeded my expectations! Great southern history wrapped up in beautiful scenery, incredible food, great service, good accommodations and interesting people! If you've never ridden with a group, this is a great first time trip. It's obvious VBT knows what they are doing and trains their people well. You won't be disappointed!
