What a fantastic trip! Our tour leaders Mark and Barney took excellent care of us. They really worked with us to make sure we had a good comfortable riding experience. The rides, the food, the additional tours, and the hotels were all excellent and very enjoyable. It was wonderful to meet so many new friends from all over.

Taste & see Mississippi
This trip is fun, interesting, yummy, beautiful, & informative. For me, the E-bike made it easily doable. Our Guides get 5 out of 5 stars for being helpful, thoughtful, capable, & available. There was a great balance of planned activities & free time, with options between both. Highlights were staying at the Fairview Inn, the Civil Rights Museum, seeing the original Natchez Trace, the night of Gospel Music, & riding the bluff along the Mississippi in Natchez.

Rugged beauty.
The trip is a great experience in the desert southwest. The terrain is rugged but beautiful. Lots of history mixed with artistry out in the wild. Tucson is a great city to bike around.

Delightful, Carefree Trip
What a lovely trip! This was my first VBT trip, and it certainly did not disappoint. Everything went off without a hitch due to all the planning of the VBT staff and our great guides. Wonderful accommodations and delightful bike rides through both scenic areas as well as historic city sections, with options for shorter or longer rides.
All the guests on the trip were friendly and helpful. Good people in the great outdoors; who could ask for better.

Southern exposure
The Natchez Trace is probably the most underrated cycling venue. The roads were smooth as silk and well maintained. The tour was excellent in that the guides, Doug and Michelle, are a great team and very attentive to everyone’s needs; the inns were superb; the food was wonderful; but most of all the group consisted of the best people one can hope for in a gathering like this. The guides definitely made this a no-worries vacation and Michelle, bless her heart, certainly was the embodiment of Southern hospitality; and Doug was knowledgeable in many things (although I didn’t verify everything he said in Google). Thank you for making our introduction to Mississippi a memorable and wonderful experience!

This trip’s activities were perfectly balanced. In addition to the daily biking, there were historic tours, kayaking, and down time. The leaders anticipated my needs before I even knew what I needed! They were great company too. The bike routes were planned thoughtfully with plenty of options to bike more or less. This part of Florida is enchanting, and I learned a lot of it’s fascinating history – one I never knew.

Beautiful Scenery
The scenery was incredible, especially at the 3 places where we stayed during the trip. The trip leaders were excellent and very attentive to the group. The additional excursions, kayaking, Butchart Gardens, a visit to a cheese farm, wine and cider tasting were a lot of fun. I would have classified the biking as moderate, the 1st 3 days were quite hilly but I did improve my cycling skills.

Great trip in the US.
Loved this trip. The rides were beautiful, the lodging spectacular and the food was amazing. Loved that the ride was split between Cape Cod and Marthas Vineyard. The bike routes were a nice way to avoid traffic.

This tour was a wonderful combination of exercise and relaxation.
The Natchez Trace Tour consisted of five days of biking at an easy pace on the Natchez Trace Parkway. The Parkway with its excellent paved surface, light, non-commercial traffic, and a speed limit of 50 mph provided a safe and relaxing biking trail of undulating hills. We travelled through beautiful forests and farmland, with opportunities to take in some of the history of the Trace. The stays in the antebellum inns were delightful with large, well-appointed rooms and excellent dining. During our stays in Vicksburg and Natchez, we learned about the Civil War battles in this area and about the era of cotton plantations. The tour provided exercise, history and good food with attentive guides.

VBT Vermont bike tour
My wife and I recently completed a VBT tour in Vermont in the Middlebury and Vegennes area. We were looking for cool weather, the changing of the leaves and fresh air to breathe and relax. All was provided and the trip exceeded all our expectation. The accomodations were excellent. The others on the tour were so nice and the host, Gerry, was just great, going beyond what would be expected. I highly recommend this tour and Vermont Bike Tours. They took great care of us.

Perfection
How do you write a review saying your trip was perfection and make it sound plausible? Wine country was my first VBT, joining 5 friends for what was to become a fabulous week. Meeting13 new people who were all wild and crazy was a plus! But having to great ride leaders, Jonathan and Dan who were great domestiques added to the fun! I am sure that having great weather and just a “few” bottles of good Californian wine polished off what I would say was an A+ week. Thanks to everyone for making the week one to be remembered!

Wonderful scenery!
This was our 4th VBT trip and there is a reason we keep returning to VBT. This tour offered a perfect variety of scenery from ocean to redwoods to vineyards. Our trip leaders offered great options for riding and local activities. The lodging was very nice and the complementary beverages and treats were much appreciated. The lunches our trip leaders provided for us were lovely. I would highly recommend this tour!

Fun biking through the historical south
This was a very fun bike ride! Even though some of the rides were on roads and bridges, there was a bike lane and drivers were amazingly respectful of the bikers. The accommodations were great and there was evening entertainment that was wonderful!

Love Vermont and this tour
This is my first VBT bike tour and it did not disappoint, starting from sign up to finish. Chris our contact person in Vermont was so helpful, going out of his way to make sure our seats/bikes worked the best for us. The routes that were chosen were beautiful with interesting stops along the way and the lodging very nice. Ride with GPS worked really well, once we got the hang of it. We really like the freedom of the self-guided tour, along with VBT’s organization.

First bicycle tour anywhere for us, AWESOME!
We loved every minute of this tour thru the desert. Trip was well organized, the leaders (Jim and Kat) were knowledgeable about local history, geography, restaurants, culture…you name it. This was a great way to see the desert, had wonderful accommodations and food, trip lengths varied so that you could “pick your poison”…I can’t say enough about how much fun my wife and I had on this trip. Totally exceeded our expectations for what this trip would be. We’ve signed up for another VBT trip next year and might do another one as well in the spring.

Highly recommend the Mississippi trip
Biking on the Natchez trace and being immersed in the history and culture of the area was the perfect getaway. The trace is beautiful and, with few cars, a very peaceful place to ride. Doug and Michelle were the perfect leaders who attended to all details making for a worry free and relaxing week.

Experience the beauty of the desert
My first trip to Arizona could not have been more special or memorable. I had no idea that there were so many different types of cactus. This trip included a visit to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum as well as rides through Bisbee, Tupac, Tucson and Sagauro National Park. The co-participants were fun and pleasant companions. The accommodations were wonderful. The guide leaders were extra ordinary, knowledgeable, competent, fun, and very accommodating with request. The guide leaders were local and were exceptional in reading the weather, our personal meteorologists.

I loved our trip to Vermont for the bicycle tour! Our Leaders were outstanding and I felt like we all were Family in just a short time. The sites and the planned stops from the winery to the dairy farm were not just educational but such enjoyable experiences. The scenery on the rides and daily routes was over the top beautiful! One of my best vacations ever!
