Discover North America

Embark on an adventure in your own backyard. Explore a California redwood forest, bike along a carriage road in Maine’s Acadia National Park, or trek through the gorgeous settings of Banff and Yoho National Parks. You don’t need to travel far to feel miles away.

Walking and biking in the USA and Canada reveals the breadth and variety of North America’s treasures. From snow-capped peaks in the Canadian Rockies to soft sand beaches in Florida, from the battlefields of Vicksburg to the vineyards of Napa Valley, there are endless opportunities for exploration.

Cycle the Cape Cod Rail Trail to the Cape Cod National Seashore and breathe the same fresh salt air that once greeted Portuguese settlers. Follow Mississippi’s legendary Natchez Trace, blazed by Native Americans and expanded by pioneers. Ride into America’s first city, historic St. Augustine, Florida, with a soft Atlantic breeze at your back.

In the sprawling desert landscapes of Arizona, witness the sheer beauty of Saguaro National Park. In Alberta, delight in the natural beauty and fascinating wildlife of the Canadian Rockies’ biggest treasures: Banff National Park and Lake Louise. Amidst the geological wonders, towering waterfalls, and awe-inspiring geyser basins of Yellowstone, follow scenic trails into the soaring landscapes that captivated Ansel Adams. Walking and biking in the USA and Canada is the best way to experience this incredible land we call home.

I had never been to Acadia, what an introduction. This was an exceptionally well thought out adventure that gave us full exposure to Acadia and the people and culture of Maine. It was extremely well organized and first class in every way, accommodations, locations, guides, service. Safety was always paramount. Anne and Justin were a fabulous team. I will definitely be coming back to Acadia and to VBT!

Boba27, Boston, MA, USA

This was our 6th VBT trip and again it met our high expectations. The entire group of riders were great to be with all week. While some of the hills were challenging, they were doable, and the van was there (as were e-bikes) if you needed some assistance. Towns were charming, the scenery was beautiful and both guides were outstanding! Our hotels and food/drink were excellent and I learned much during our week. As usual with VBT, there were many added experiences and side trips which just added to the fun. And, the bikes were extremely well suited to this…

Cyclist, Saint Paul, MN, USA

First time VBT rider and I can't say enough good stuff about the trip, the guides or the company. The trip exceeded my expectations! Great southern history wrapped up in beautiful scenery, incredible food, great service, good accommodations and interesting people! If you've never ridden with a group, this is a great first time trip. It's obvious VBT knows what they are doing and trains their people well. You won't be disappointed!
