I am a 'rookie; with VBT having completed my first trip to the Canadien Rockies. I had a wonderful time with the leaders and all the bikers. Te scenery and cycling were breathtaking. The meals and camarderie with our guides made for a very enjoyable time. Experience the wonder of the great outdoors in the Canadian Rockies! You will have the time of your life.

Cycling the Canadian Rockie
This was an amazingly beautiful ride with stunning mountains, lakes, waterfalls and guides. The food was exceptional incuding the picnics the guides prepared for us. I ride alone and feel completely comfortable and well taken care of (if needed).

Beautiful Scenery
The scenery was incredible, especially at the 3 places where we stayed during the trip. The trip leaders were excellent and very attentive to the group. The additional excursions, kayaking, Butchart Gardens, a visit to a cheese farm, wine and cider tasting were a lot of fun. I would have classified the biking as moderate, the 1st 3 days were quite hilly but I did improve my cycling skills.

Had its ups and downs.
Beautiful scenery on stops, and fun activities. Rides were extremely varied. Some quite short and easy, others much longer. Lots of road riding with some on very narrow, windy, hilly, gravel filled roads with considerable traffic. Difficult to enjoy the scenery while riding.

Not my favorite CW trip
My least favorite of the 10 Country Walker trips. Everyplace was congested. Never a peaceful moment on the trails. Unseasonably hot and unfortunately two of the hotels didn’t have air conditioning. Two of the hotels had no bar. The Inn at Ghost River had no bar and limited food service. No AC. Very remote. Nothing to do as they discouraged you from walking off property on your own. The lodge at Lake Louise was a large property. Again no AC. Very busy. Run down. They allow pets. Paw prints on our doors. Not particularly clean. No bar. You could get a drink at restaurant if you wanted to wait a half hour + for a table. The vehicle CW used was rather cramped. No leg room if you weren’t in front seat of the van. The only thing that kept the trip from being a total let down was the charming guides. Richard and Cameron were friendly and energetic and did their best to help us avoid crowds and find some solitude.

Unforgettable trip!
I totally enjoyed our trip to the Canadian Rockies. The scenery was breathtaking and the hikes were great. We saw so many beautiful waterfalls. The food at the lodges was great especially at the The Crossing at Ghost river lodge. We met some amazing people on our trip. The size was 14 and I think it was a perfect size to be able to get to know them after one week. Our guides Cameron and Emily Marie were amazing and were there to help us all the time. An unforgettable trip!
