My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the VBT Costa Brava trip. The biking itinerary was clearly written and well planned. We are confident traveling in Europe after living there many years, however, we believe it is safer and certainly more convenient to bike with a reputable group tour. VBT offers a high quality experience which we can recommend without hesitation.

Terrific diverstiy of scenery and cultural sights.
Our 7th trip and this might be tops, but they are all so good. This trip is easy and we are so glad we did not order eBikes (we are 79 and 82). Our guides were terrific and the trip is planned so there is time for art (Dali two places),Greek and Roman ruins, swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, walking the coast, seeing the Costa Brava from the sea, and exploring the old city of Girona as well as an introduction to Barcelona, where we stayed on for a week in an apartment. Hotels were great too.

What a Great Tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first VBT experience. The tour route was very well laid out and we cannot not say enough about how impressive our tour leaders, David and Frederico, both of whom are natives of Portugal. Kudos to VBT for the way they planned and conducted our tour!

Spain Costa Brava tour
The tour was wonderfully planned with very minor improvements needed. Hotel selection was outstanding, ride support was terrific, chosen routes were thoughtful and beautiful while also being a good mix of hard and easy but still safe, the area is tough to beat for sheer beauty. Travel directions on transfer to/from Barcelona need updating or correction in some cases but hotel staff were able to give excellent directions. Fantastic trip.

Can't wait to do another one!
This was my first trip with VBT. I was not disappointed. We did the self-guided tour and it was absolutely amazing. The GPS app worked like a dream and we felt very confident that we would not get lost. The level of ride was perfect and the routes were well thought out for traffic, sightseeing, landscapes, and food/water. Our baggage was moved every 'move-on' day without any problems. The staff was responsive and helpful with all of our questions. We felt safe and looked out for the entire time.

Superior leaders who went far above and beyond our expectations! So well organized, detailed GPS routes, great cultural experiences with geographical & historical teaching, amazing views on well designed bike routes and very comfortable hotels.

Fantastic experience, with great routes, knowledgeable guides and beautiful hotels. I am an average cyclist and did the rides with a road bike. The guides were always around if needed, so I felt well supported. I enjoyed the relaxed pace and the mid day stops at a winery or a little village. There were some challenging days and other days where there were optional add-ons, so you could easily make it more challenging or less. I would highly recommend this tour!

New Duoro Bike/Boat trip-a work in process
We love VBT and the best part of this trip was our leader, Manu. He is awesome! All VBT leaders are great, and he is at the top. It was the initial offering of the trip, and some kinks will be addressed, I am sure. Coordinating the boat and the buses (there were A LOT of buses) and biking is complex. We enjoyed the chance to mix with other travelers on the boat. We enjoyed unpacking only once. The Douro is not a river where you can bike alongside, like the Danube--so there is a lot of bus transfer time on twisty steep roads (some complained of car sickness). It is a hilly area--definitely on the "moderate" scale, not the "easy-moderate" scale. Climate always a question-in late April we had both cold (40's) and wet and warm (70s) and sunny. The olive oil mill and winery were good experiences. The archeological site was sketchy.... If you like hills and don't mind the bus, a good trip to some less accessible areas.

Biking with a river cruise.
The scenery and biking were incredible! However, dealing with the ship's docking schedule was somewhat problematic and left less time for exploring the towns and shortened the rides.

Great Bike Tour!
I had a wonderful time on the VBT Andalusian Spain trip and would highly recommend this trip to anyone who might be interested. The scenery is beautiful and the towns we visited had so much history. Our guides could not have been better. They made the trip both fun and safe. I went solo and felt like I gained 18 new friends. The food and lodging were top notch and the rides were totally manageable even for someone who is not an avid rider - but if you have a doubt about your abilities rent an E-bike and your worries will be over!

Spain: Andalusia, Córdoba & Granada
This tour has incredible scenery and enriching cultural attractions.
We visited Andalucia Spain with VBT in Nov. 2012. This was our 24th bicycling trip with VBT and was our best trip yet! Andalucia is more scenic than we ever imagined and the bicycling along rural roads and trails is the best way to experience this area. The longer cycling routes offered each day were through rolling hills with sweeping vistas overlooking olive orchards as far as the eye could see and small white-housed villages nestled in the hill-sides. Andalucia offers many cultural and historic attractions in Seville, Cordoba and Granada that make this a very enriching and rewarding trip.

Spain:Landscapes from the Camino
The trip was VERY Good, but it should be noted that it is not a walk on one Camino, it is a taste of the areas around several camino routes. We walked, but we also were able to learn about cities in various locations, from excellent local guides, and we experienced visiting a cheese farm and a pottery Artist at work. If you are looking for a CAMINO hike with spiritual significance, this is not it, BUT if you want truly wonderful experience of Camino and the beautiful Northern Spain, this is a trip you should make a must do.

Worth the money.
Our Country Walkers tour either met our expectations or exceeded them in all respects. Our guides, Helle and JuanJo, were terrific; friendly, and engaging, with sufficient knowledge of Mallorca, and environs. They provided encouragement and assistance when necessary. The accommodations were excellent.
