This was one of the best VBT tours we have taken. Food, riding, scenery, exploration of the art of Dali, wonderful guides and fantastic accommodations. Pre-trip in Barcelona is a must do to see the Gaudi architecture and Picasso museum as well as experience Catalonia at its best.

Best Bike Trip Ever!
This was a perfect trip...Seamless. My 8th VBT bicycling trip and all were good but this one was exceptional because our leaders were exceptional. Great biking, great cultural events and guided tours, wonderful food, very cohesive group of 22 guests who really liked each other every single day. Bravo Javi and Andrea..I hope we meet again!

What a Great Tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first VBT experience. The tour route was very well laid out and we cannot not say enough about how impressive our tour leaders, David and Frederico, both of whom are natives of Portugal. Kudos to VBT for the way they planned and conducted our tour!

Wonderful Rides through Costa Brava
We recently returned from our self-guided biking trip through Spain and enjoyed a truly memorable experience. VBT delivered on all aspects of lodging, bikes, self-guided app, and pre-trip planning. Our in-country hosts were readily available and willing to help with minor adjustments mid-trip. The routes were predominantly local road biking routes with minimal car traffic to worry about while riding. This was our first VBT trip and we would be more than happy to explore another area of the world with VBT!

June '23 VBT ride through Costa Brava-
We loved our self guided tour around Costa Brava. Accomodations were very nice. We especially liked the 1600's Farmhouse with the outstanding restaurant. The rides were very pleasant and vehicles were very respectful of cyclists. All the people we encountered were very kind and helpful. .

Rolling on the Mallorca Hills
This is a fabulous trip for road cyclists who love rolling hills and some challenging climbs. The island has a strong cycling culture and motorists are accustomed to sharing the road. The climate and temperature in the off-season is perfect - warm to hot with very little rain. Off the bike, the hotels are unique, very comfortable and the provided meals are just what you need after a day on the bike. Inexperienced cyclists and e-bikers can do it, too. But it may be a little dull for e-bikers -- there is no challenge here that someone who cycles regularly cannot meet. There are more difficult options offered if you haven't had enough. I might go back - it was that much fun.

Go For It!
This trip checks all the boxes: guides Bibi and Juan Carlos attended to every detail and made every minute lots of fun; experiences were rich in history, culture, great food and local wines; bike routes were varied, and mostly on quiet roads lined with stone walls; hotels were comfortable, well situated and 2 out of 3 had gorgeous grounds and pools; meals were all exceptionally good; and, as usual, the group experience left us with 14 new friends. Highlights were visits to Can Det, one of the oldest estates on the island, and the Oliver Moragues vineyard. This was our 6th trip and we're sure you will love it, too!

Great place, and the bike and boat make it better
Good route, and the ship, with unpacking once, makes it better. The guides were very good, and the food on the ship was excellent. The group of 18 were very enjoyable people.

Biking with a river cruise.
The scenery and biking were incredible! However, dealing with the ship's docking schedule was somewhat problematic and left less time for exploring the towns and shortened the rides.

VBT Andalusia trip
This trip could not have been better. Bikes, guides, hotels, food, history, culture, tours to the prime sights, transports ; all organized and pulled off smoothly, down to small details. The guides were special. Knowledgeable, friendly, organized, encouraging, calm, and just fun to be around. We lost a passport in Cordoba and within an hour the guides tracked it down and saved some huge hassles for us. I don’t typically write reviews, but this trip was just too good.

Great Bike Tour!
I had a wonderful time on the VBT Andalusian Spain trip and would highly recommend this trip to anyone who might be interested. The scenery is beautiful and the towns we visited had so much history. Our guides could not have been better. They made the trip both fun and safe. I went solo and felt like I gained 18 new friends. The food and lodging were top notch and the rides were totally manageable even for someone who is not an avid rider - but if you have a doubt about your abilities rent an E-bike and your worries will be over!

wonderful journey
Manuel and Alberto were both excellent guides - good communicators, they kept us all on track. overall it was a good balance of walking and cultural activities. we covered a lot of ground which meant many hours in the bus - would have preferred a little more 'walking'. One the other hand the cultural activities were a highlight.

Great Trip!
Wonderful trip, great guides, good food, well-organized. Guides Alberto and Pol were a great team and anticipated our every need. Moreover, they were fun to be with and full of helpful information. The route was well planned to experience both the Camino Norte and the Camino Franca. The paradors were generally good though not spectacular, with the exception of that in Santiago de Compostela. Visits to the winery and cheese factory were also pleasant and provided variety to the walking treks. The length and elevation gain of the walks were fine for the elderly group, though the initial information should be checked for accuracy. Some walks were more and others were less than advertised.

Would Repeat the Experience if I Could
This travel experience was even better than I thought. The hikes were beautiful and not too challenging. The scenery, food, and locations were fabulous. The guides were experienced, knowledgeable and best of all, personable. The accommodations, especially the Fontsanta Hotel Thermal and Spa were excellent. We had 17 people in our group and initially I thought this was a bit much but it proved to be wonderful. Great people to enhance an absolutely wonderful experience.
