Great trip

VBT never disappoints. This was my 4th trip with VBT and it was fantastic. Our guides Oriol and Martin were outstanding. Loved the visit to the Dali Museum and came away with a new appreciation for his work. The landscapes were beautiful and the visit to the cider company was fun. The post trip in Mallorca was a pleasure.

VBT Continues to Deliver

It starts with the guides and they deliver on a continuous basis. Andrea and Javier (Javi) are excellent at delivering the experience promised by VBT and go above and beyond to make it all work and make sure you are happy. There are always glitches along the way, mostly created by the guests. They work tirelessly and effectively to solve every problem. Like all the other trips (we have done many). It's so much more than the wonderful biking. The farm visit to the apple orchard is amazing. Who knew so much science and technology are needed to be successful in this day and age. They explained why more than 150 apples stresses the trees and produce inferior apples. They showed us the technology they use to eliminate excess blooms. The resultant apples, juices and ciders are wonderful. The enjoyment of our visit to the Dali museum was magnified many times over by the enthusiasm and knowledge of Kim, our guide. I had no idea how many elements were in each Dali painting and how his mind worked.

What a Great Tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first VBT experience. The tour route was very well laid out and we cannot not say enough about how impressive our tour leaders, David and Frederico, both of whom are natives of Portugal. Kudos to VBT for the way they planned and conducted our tour!

Perfect in nearly every way

We were a group of 8 (most of whom knew each other) which was a perfect size. The biggest problem was that when we tried to leave Barcelona for Girona, the train track was under construction and therefore no train could get to Girona. It meant two subway changes to get to another train station and ultimately to Girona. It happened to be my 73rd birthday, and included way too much schlepping of luggage up and down multiple staircases etc, we all were grumpy, but finally reached our destination. Wish VBT could have forewarned us of that We had only one mechanical support need, but other wise all the bikes were great. And for the hill out of Girona the eBikes were much appreciated. We loved the places to stay, but one thing to suggest is that we back-tracked on the route which seemed like you were just trying to add to the mileage for a day --- can't remember where that was, but perhaps another option is possible. My husband and I did the extra ride out of LaFranc and thank god for the eBike because it was VERY steep but so worth it. THanks for the suggestion. We loved the trip

Mallorca - A Wonderful Destination!

This tour explored many different parts of this beautiful island. Rolling Hills, meandering, pathways and country lanes, gorgeous scenery, congenial company, and interesting routing, all combined to make this a terrific trip! Some nice extras along the way, including visits to an olive oil factory, vineyard, and a cooking class all helped make this a truly special journey.

Great trip, great leaders.

We really enjoyed this trip and would recommend it. The routes were scenic; the bikes excellent; the food very good; the leaders outstanding; the other experiences (tours, wine tasting, etc.) were fun and informative; the hotels at the beginning and end were very nice. We would suggest using the e-bikes as the terrain is hilly.

Very Scenic Ride!

Very scenic bike ride through miles and miles of olive trees neatly planted in rows! Guides were so helpful and courteous. Time to tour Cordoba and Granada without biking. Beautiful accommodations - especially Hacienda Minerva in Zuheros. Post trip in Barcelona is a must! Gaudi's architecture is so creative and beautiful!!

Walk on

As always, fabulous guides but, for the first time in 10 tours, so-so walking that was nowhere near what was originally outlined when I first signed up. Disappointing at best.

An Unforgettable Adventure in Mallorca

We visited Mallorca in May and it did not disappoint. The weather was perfect -- warm but not too hot. The views were breathtaking: dramatic cliffs dropping into crystal-clear coves and olive groves and citrus trees scattered across the hillsides. It felt like every turn revealed a new postcard-worthy scene. Some stretches of the trail were rocky and steep but easily manageable. The guides were personable and knowledgeable. The hotels were close to luxury. I highly recommend this trip to active travelers.

Bon Dia! Mallorca-amazing trip of a lifetime!

Country Walkers knocked this trip outta the ballpark: breathtaking mountain terrain✔️ gorgeous coastal hikes✔️ beautiful honey-toned villages nestled on mountain sides✔️ local agri-tourism (citrus groves & olive & winery & sea salt plains) ✔️ wonderful local cuisine ✔️ knowledgeable local mountain guides who care deeply about their country and their tour group ✔️ All the boxes were checked on this trip, and while the weather in Mallorca can be changeable in April, it cooperated beautifully during our week. And of note, the guides were very good at finding trails that weren’t touristy but were unmatched in beauty. A couple of the hikes were challenging due to the rocky terrain and slope but…this is a hike not a walk on city streets, right? Our group had great dynamics and our guides, Josep and Elke were caring, kind and went the extra mile (pardon pun) to make the experience worthwhile. The hotels we stayed in were very good, local, often historical and just added to the experience. I had no expectations attached to the trip because my travel to Europe has been very limited, so more experienced travelers might scoff at my enthusiasm (they probably don’t smile at babies, dogs, and flowers either) that’s fine, this was my experience that will last a lifetime.
