This is my 4th Country Walkers trip. Our group of hikers included some first-timers and some CW travelers who had done dozens of trips. We all agreed this Norway adventure was extraordinary. So much credit is owed to our outstanding guides, Heidi and Helle, who led us with insight, enthusiasm and great attention to our care along the way. Their unique life experiences and skills contributed so much to the trip. Both of them embody living in a manner consistent with personal values, and helped us stay mindful and centered as we enjoyed the dramatic beauty and history of Norway. Heidi's profound, multi-generational connection to the places where we hiked helped us all have a deeper understanding of Norwegian culture - historical and contemporary. Helle expertly managed a few logistic changes that were necessary along the way and none of us ever "saw behind the curtain" - it looked effortless, although I am sure it was not. She also had great tips for saving knees and quads for those of us who were less experienced hikers. And, to top it off, they both were genuinely delightful, warm and thoughtful people. Could not have asked for a better experience!
