Latvia

We started in Vilnius and biked our way through the beautifully groomed farms lands and forests of the Baltics, through Riga, and ended in the jewel of the Baltics, Tallinn. The youthful guides were fantastic, and highlighted the uniqueness of the Baltics, taking us along the hiways, but also the byways, through the country side, the farms and fields and forests, through the colorful cobble-stoned towns, and taking us to fantastic restaurants and overnite stays. The trip was patterned after USAID and State Department tours, using many of the same excellent facilities used for their dignitaries. The Baltics is special and its culture interwoven with Russian, Scandinavian, German cultures, a unique blend. I've been on about 8+ tours, and I rate this near the top.

Great trip! Interesting countries, terrific guides, nice scenery, and fascinating history in this little area of Europe. The bike routes were well planned and the bikes themselves (we used e bikes) were terrific. The trip is rated Easy but I was really glad to have an e-bike for some sections, particularly the rolling hillside through Lithuania. We also enjoyed the food and the included tours, and the accommodations were all very good—especially the Kempinski in Vilnius and the Grand Palace Hotel in Riga! Don’t hesitate to book this trip!

An excellent tour led by two expert guides! There were many varied activities and trips. We learned so much history about these two Baltic countries. The walking wasn't too strenuous, however, we covered a lot of distance.

Our guides were wonderful but perhaps the heat and the crowds conspired to make this trip less than 5 stars. We had lovely accommodations and easily doable walks. My favorite moments were the first communal meal and entertainment and the farewell dinner.
