The VBT Croatia self-guided tour is outstanding. Excellent routes with climbing challenge to spectacular views of the picture perfect colors of the Aegean Sea. Excellent food and warm country people who love to share their history and culture.

The tour was almost a 5 star. The only change I would make is that a different hotel be used in Korcula. The Marko Polo was not in good shape and we stayed there 3 nights. All of the other hotels were beautiful. Our guide, Andres, was amazing and very helpful. He went above and beyond when I got sick and couldn't finish a ride on the 4th day.

Croatia Boat and Bike Tour was a wonderful way to start our relationship with VBT! Gorgeous location, beautiful people, fantastic accommodations and just the right amount of physical challenge. Our tour leaders were knowledgeable, sharing and very safety conscious. I can’t imagine VBT can top this, but we’ve signed up for a trip in Europe for 2026 to find out!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our Croatia: Split & the Dalmatian Islands bike-&-boat trip was nothing short of magical — and that’s largely thanks to our incredible guides, Julian, Peter, and Matiya. From Day 1, they set the tone: welcoming, knowledgeable, and always enthusiastic. Julian had a gift for weaving in little local stories and historical tidbits that brought each stop to life. Matiya was our technical guru — ensuring bikes were tuned, giving helpful route tips, and always ready with encouragement when hills got steep. Peter’s warm spirit and attentive care made everyone feel comfortable, whether helping with logistics, meal plans, or just chatting about hidden gems off the beaten path. The itinerary was spectacular: biking across islands, stopping at olive farms, wine tastings, savoring traditional Croatian dishes, and swimming in turquoise bays — the variety was perfect. The balance between active days and relaxing evenings on the yacht was just right. What truly made this trip shine was how seamless it all felt. The guides anticipated needs before we knew we had them, smoothed over any bumps with humor and grace, and created a sense of camaraderie in the group. They turned a scenic journey into a deeply personal experience. If you want to see Croatia in its most beautiful, authentic form — and be led by guides who make every moment better — this is the trip to take. Huge thanks to Julian, Peter, and Matiya for making everything unforgettable.

The Croatia bike trip was simply outstanding. First and foremost, we could not have gotten better guides from Croatia to show us the islands of Hvar and Brac. The culture, the scenery, the comraderie could not have been better. Plus we learned how to ascend and descend rather large hills! Would absolutely do it again.

VBT Croatia was a fantastic experience. Our trip exceeded our expectations and my adult son said it was a “trip of a lifetime!” It was a perfect blend of guided and self guided. The guides had great personalities and created a great experience! I loved the variation of experiences, loved the food recommendations, loved the scenery and loved all the group interaction. This trip exceeded my expectations due to Dani and Vida, our amazing guides.They were able to share their personal stories in a professional manner that enriched the trip and we became friends. They were aware and alert to each individuals needs and responded to those needs. They were knowable and worked smoothly was a team. I would travel with Country Walkers again due to Dani and Vida.

Country Walkers crafted the perfect itinerary for Slovenia and Croatia. Each phase of the trip was carefully selected right down to the selection of high end hotels, meals in interesting restaurants and side trips which we actually enjoyed such a fun wine tasting and a truffle hunt. The walks were all scenic but within the range of difficulty promised. Our guides were knowledgeable, pleasant and caring. We have traveled extensively but this was our first Country Walkers trip and we will definitely travel with them again. Every participant on our trip extended either before or after. That is something to keep in mind.

We had an amazing time on this trip and could not have been happier with our decision to take our first ever group tour with Country Walkers. Everything about our trip was seamless. Our tour guides, Dani 1 and Dani 2, were knowledgeable, mature, funny and amiable, each in his own way, and added greatly to the trip/experience. Their local knowledge of culture, food, people, history was unmatchable. We had deep trust in them, and we knew that although everything seemed to go smoothly, they were constantly working behind the scenes to adjust plans due to weather, changes in schedule, etc. They made it look easy, but we knew it was not. Of course the hiking was nice, the views and location fantastic. The food was sumptuous and always different, so we sampled many things and felt we got exposed to all kinds of traditional Croation fare. The wine and grappa were always flowing generously. The eating locations themselves were unique. We heard rumors that this tour was being regrouped or cancelled and were quite surprised as everyone in our group seemed quite happy indeed. It would be a shame to lose these fantastic guides/guys.

We had a great trip thanks in a large part to our guides and our Croatian hosts! Dani and Dani were a great guiding team, who adapted the itinerary to meet our needs. They were thoughtful, informative and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this trip. You will learn so much about the wonderful and beautiful Dalmatian coast.
