What an amazing trip to Croatia- the Dalmatian coast! My husband and I had an incredible experience on our very first VBT self guided vacation! Yes, we are already talking about another and we haven’t even made it back home. From the luxurious hotels, detailed itinerary, to our amazing host, Andrej, we had the best time! We were throughly surprised how much we were connected to our host since we were on a self guided tour. Andrej went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. One thing that would have been helpful to know is that If you do go to Mljet National Park, you can bring your bike on the Krilo ferry. We didn’t realize we would want our bikes until we were already there. There are paths all around the lakes for bikes and you can rent there too. Excellent experience with VBT! I highly recommend this trip!

Croatia is an incredibly beautiful country. I loved everything about it. The sea, countryside, walled cities, vineyards, olive groves and the overall hospitality by the locals. I will definitely come back to explore the islands and nearby countries. VBT did a great job of planning a 6 day itinerary and Adreaj was a fantastic host. With that being said I DO NOT think the trip was a great value. In fact it was overpriced for what we received. The first 3 hotel nights were nice but adequate. The 3 nights we spent at the Marko Polo were subpar. The grounds and facilities were fine but the rooms were low budget, outdated with mold in the shower. Since the trip was self guided we were on our own for all expenses. If VBT had included a dinner with a local host or a local tour the trip would have felt more enriched. We ended our trip at the beach at a beautiful hotel in Dubrovnik. We loved the area and stayed an extra night. I also have mixed feelings on the biking. We lost two days due to rain and high winds. One day we biked from Orebic' to Loviste. It was absolutely beautiful. The roads had very little traffic but were windy two lane roads with no shoulder. Climbs were two miles, challenging even with an e-bike. The last part of the ride was right along the sea on a bike path. The other day we biked in Korcula 2 short rides. We biked to the beach and through vineyards and olive groves. Just know Croatia is very hilly so be prepared for a challenge even with an e-bike. This is my second trip with VBT. My first trip also had subpar hotels.The next time I plan a bike trip I will be researching other companies.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip...the guides were 10/10 The ship was fantastic, food was maybe a little weak but still 9/10. The rooms were surprisingly comfortable and reasonably spacious. The rides were awesome but definitely more challenging than what we expected. Loved our day parked and swimming in the cove and all the little towns we stopped in. It was fun meeting all the other guests. Suggest allowing 2 drinks per day on the house. And better info ahead on needing a significant amount of euros for tips that we didnt expect. Best trip ever -- Croatia was the perfect blend of biking and boating with fabulous scenery, wonderful e-bikes, great accommodations, quiet roads, exquisite food, good blend of biking and relaxing time too. Trip leaders were wonderful and couldn't recommend a trip more highly -- post-trip to Dubrovnik was an unexpected added delight. -- Pretty close to a perfect active vacation!!

Wowsa, what a wonderful adventure. We explored the Dalmatian Islands on beautiful scenic roads... and most importantly from the comfort of e-bikes, which made the "rolling hills" a little easier to ride. Our guides did an outstanding job from day one. Highly recommend this trip!

Just returned yesterday from Croatia. This was our first VBT tour and I'm sure it will not be our last. Our guides, Marko and Vanja were exceptional and we hated to leave them. They went above and beyond with recommendations for restaurants, things to see and do during the tour as well as the post tour extension in Split.

The entire experience was terrific. This trip consisted of full days of beautiful walks and a variety of interesting and fun activities. The hotels were amazing; each room had beautiful views and were fully equipped. The group size was perfect and we all got along very well. The icing on the cake was, without a doubt, the exceptional leadership of Vida and Dani. They are incredibly warm, kind, knowledgeable, fun and attentive in all the right ways. I would follow them anywhere.

This trip exceeded my expectations due to Dani and Vida, our amazing guides.They were able to share their personal stories in a professional manner that enriched the trip and we became friends. They were aware and alert to each individuals needs and responded to those needs. They were knowable and worked smoothly was a team. I would travel with Country Walkers again due to Dani and Vida.

We had a great trip thanks in a large part to our guides and our Croatian hosts! Dani and Dani were a great guiding team, who adapted the itinerary to meet our needs. They were thoughtful, informative and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this trip. You will learn so much about the wonderful and beautiful Dalmatian coast.

This walking tour was awesome. The different venues, hikes and lodging was all terrific . The single factor that made the trip so good, were the two Guides. Dani and Dani were so thoughtful, knowledgeable, and their trips to lunches and meals and wine tasting, at various venues were remarkable. Getting to know some of the locals at these venues, and visiting places off the beaten path, were one of the high points, in my view.
