Isle of Hope

Ride past stately homes and enjoy marsh views on the Isle of Hope. This historic island community started as a summer retreat for the people of Savannah in the 1840s. From charming small cottages to sprawling mansions, the island is home to many beautiful architectural styles. Its peaceful gardens and waterside lanes make it the perfect place for a leisurely bike ride.

Wormsloe Historic Site

When you think of Savannah, images of mossy oaks and sprawling lanes probably spring to mind. The Wormsloe Historic Site is everything you imagined and more. Walking trails wind throughout the property, and you can even find the ruins of an original “tabby” house constructed of sand, water, lime and oyster shells.

City Squares

The city of Savannah was intentionally laid out in a grid pattern, with 24 city squares meant for public use. Today, 22 of those squares survive and form the backbone of this beautiful city. Join the locals and spend a leisurely afternoon wandering the green spaces, listening to music, and viewing the many statues and fountains of these historic spaces.

Bonaventure Cemetery

This 160-acre cemetery has gravesites dating back to the mid 1800s. This hauntingly beautiful space contains miles of winding trails that pass by stunning sculptures and historical graves. It’s a must-visit destination for fans of the book (or movie) Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil for its many connections.

Forsyth Park

Even if you’ve never visited Savannah before, the elegant Forsyth fountain will probably look familiar to you. This iconic fountain is one of the images most associated with Savannah. The charming park where it lives is an essential stop on any visit to Savannah. Stop by on the weekend to visit the local farmer’s market, or enjoy a peaceful stroll any day of the week.
