Enjoyable trip

Great trip would recommend to others. Sights were awesome!

Wonderful week!

This is a delightful trip. Our VBT host, Jan, was terrific! He briefed the group at the orientation, and was completely available to anyone for questions, advice, or other help all week by phone or text. Hotels and the bike route were wonderful. The entire week of the ride was very scenic, almost all on paved bike paths and without automobile traffic. Riding along the Danube is just stunning. We had hybrid (non-electric) bikes and found that they were completely adequate, as this is not a hilly trip. We loved this trip! This was our third self-guided trip, although our first with VBT. We plan to do more self-guided trips.

Lake Como & Italian Lake Disctrict Review

This was my first cycling vacation, so my first with VBT and it exceeded all my expecations. I did it with friends who had done a number of VBT tours and it was an exceptional experience. The guides, Giovanni and Angelo, were amazing in every regard; helpful, knowledgeable, personable and very engaging. The routes were magnificent, the hotel and restaurant choices brilliant and the connections to buses, ferries and trains all well organized and on time. The bikes and other equipment were fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Big thanks to Giovanni and Angelo...you guys rocked!

Excellent trip design

Excellent trip design including scenic biking on bike paths along the lake and river and through the lesser known Italian vineyards of Franciacorta, Highlight was train trip to St Moritz in the Swiss alps on the highest train route in Europe.

A must for experienced VBT travelers

This was our third VBT trip and we chose the boat-biking combination as it appeals to us. The Dalmatian Islands were incredibly beautiful, weather perfect, grape-picking time biking through vineyards at the various islands. Roads were in mint condition, no potholes unlike home and although hilly spouse got competitive with the ebike. Aboard the vessel, the crew and the VBT leaders were wonderful and fulfilled our every wish. Great meals aboard the boat. In summary, this was the best biking tour ever. Croatia is so clean and friendly, a true gem for world travelers.

Croatia is a must-see

What's not to love!!? Spectacular weather (despite the forecast of rain), amazing guides who saw to our every need (Jelena and Mario), smooth sailing on a beautiful ship with an attentive crew, great biking (new bikes even!) on the islands with gorgeous views. It's a good thing we did as much biking as we did since the food was tasty and plentiful! September is definitely the perfect time to visit.

Gorgeous views, rewarding rides and delicious food

This VBT trip does not disappoint! The attention to detail for every visit and experience was remarkable. I live in the mid-west and don't have many hills to train on so these rides were challenging for me, but doable and once I was done I felt very satisfied. The accommodations were all different and great in their own way. The guides were energetic and informative. I highly recommend this tour - it's a great way to see Greece!

Wonderful trip

The experience with VBT went beyond expectations as did the part of Greece where we cycled. The Peloponnesian Peninsula is a relatively undiscovered biking jewel, I enjoyed it far more than biking various Greek Islands. Accommodations were excellent and Greek food speaks for itself. VBT and the guides went out of their way in providing a 5 star experience. The bikes were new and top quality, the routes were varied and interesting. The guides bent over backwards to please us and provide a great biking as well as cultural experience.

Great views

The electric bikes made it so easy and the scenery was breathtaking. Favorite part was the pre trip. Places we stayed were first class.

Outstanding trip!. Incredible itinerary and guides

Great in every way. For our first VBT trip we got lucky with the perfect group and tour guides. Cedric and Eve were fantastic. Perfect weather was a surprise plus.

A great ride through beautiful country.

It was a beautiful trip, well paced with excellent guides. We were lucky with the weather so our photos are great. The Cotswolds did not disappoint with their charm; Oxford and Bath were educations in history.

A Wonderful Vacation!

We chose to travel to England for the history, the quaint villages, and the beautiful pastures filled with sheep. We sure got all of that, but what we didn’t know is that the region is truly a road-cyclist’s dream! Paved and quiet country lanes over rolling hills—it felt as though we were on extended bike paths. Our leaders had a keen eye on safety and were supportive and present at every tricky turn. I can’t recommend this destination and this trip enough. The Cotswolds will transport you back in time and ignite your imagination. VBT knows how to play ball and they hit it out of the part with this one!

Beautiful locales and local dining

This was our first VBT vacation. We were very impressed with the planning, accommodations, and route. It was a wonderful experience to bike along country roads with guides who knew the area. The hotels were lovely and the meals were delicious. Everything was top-notch.

Awesome

I have done 9 trips with VBT so far, all have been great, but I must say this went to #1. The 2 best guides, the entire 20 guests like instant friends, with our leaders Prunella and Philip. I wish we had more time everywhere. The post trip to Helsinki was truly amazing, so glad we did it, only 4 of us went, sorry to say the others missed out. Jean Vermeeren

Wonderful Experience!

We loved this trip! The scenery, the biking routes, the guides, the accommodations were all fanatastic. We liked the other guests, the fabulous breakfasts and particularly loved our post trip to Mallorca.

VBT Continues to Deliver

It starts with the guides and they deliver on a continuous basis. Andrea and Javier (Javi) are excellent at delivering the experience promised by VBT and go above and beyond to make it all work and make sure you are happy. There are always glitches along the way, mostly created by the guests. They work tirelessly and effectively to solve every problem. Like all the other trips (we have done many). It's so much more than the wonderful biking. The farm visit to the apple orchard is amazing. Who knew so much science and technology are needed to be successful in this day and age. They explained why more than 150 apples stresses the trees and produce inferior apples. They showed us the technology they use to eliminate excess blooms. The resultant apples, juices and ciders are wonderful. The enjoyment of our visit to the Dali museum was magnified many times over by the enthusiasm and knowledge of Kim, our guide. I had no idea how many elements were in each Dali painting and how his mind worked.

Great trip! Our guides were great hosts and made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and getting the most out of each day. Gorgeous part of the world.

Provence is a Pleasure!

Bike routes were beautiful and enjoyable! Loved the town of St. Remy and the location of our hotel. Really enjoyed Avignon and again, the location of the hotel made exploring the city very easy.
