The self guided VBT biking tour was just the trip for my husband and I, along with two friends. The locations in Croatia had stunning views and the biking routes were the perfect distance for us. So glad we got ebikes!

What an amazing trip to Croatia- the Dalmatian coast! My husband and I had an incredible experience on our very first VBT self guided vacation! Yes, we are already talking about another and we haven’t even made it back home. From the luxurious hotels, detailed itinerary, to our amazing host, Andrej, we had the best time! We were throughly surprised how much we were connected to our host since we were on a self guided tour. Andrej went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. One thing that would have been helpful to know is that If you do go to Mljet National Park, you can bring your bike on the Krilo ferry. We didn’t realize we would want our bikes until we were already there. There are paths all around the lakes for bikes and you can rent there too. Excellent experience with VBT! I highly recommend this trip!

From Day 1, they set the tone: welcoming, knowledgeable, and always enthusiastic. Julian had a gift for weaving in little local stories and historical tidbits that brought each stop to life. Matiya was our technical guru — ensuring bikes were tuned, giving helpful route tips, and always ready with encouragement when hills got steep. Peter’s warm spirit and attentive care made everyone feel comfortable, whether helping with logistics, meal plans, or just chatting about hidden gems off the beaten path. The itinerary was spectacular: biking across islands, stopping at olive farms, wine tastings, savoring traditional Croatian dishes, and swimming in turquoise bays — the variety was perfect. The balance between active days and relaxing evenings on the yacht was just right. What truly made this trip shine was how seamless it all felt. The guides anticipated needs before we knew we had them, smoothed over any bumps with humor and grace, and created a sense of camaraderie in the group. They turned a scenic journey into a deeply personal experience. If you want to see Croatia in its most beautiful, authentic form — and be led by guides who make every moment better — this is the trip to take. This was an absolutely delightful experience. I am very impressed with VBT's way of supporting the local economy by hiring local guides, and setting up dinners with locals. Our hotels were great, the guides were wonderful, and i learned so much about local culture and history. Our guides, Mario and Neven, are just wonderful people and so helpful fun to be around.

VBT Croatia was a fantastic experience. Our trip exceeded our expectations and my adult son said it was a “trip of a lifetime!” It was a perfect blend of guided and self guided. The guides had great personalities and created a great experience! I loved the variation of experiences, loved the food recommendations, loved the scenery and loved all the group interaction. I am ready for the next VBT trip! Amazing trip! Thank you.

Our knowledgable guides gave me much insight into the history and culture of these two countries while enjoying invigorating hikes and walks along enchanting trails around lakes, through mountains and along scenic gorges. I enjoyed the occasional periods of free time where I could explore the towns on my own which was very easy to do. The citizens are very friendly and welcoming, most everyone speaks English and I always felt safe.

This was a great trip with beautiful scenery, delicious food, and great accommodations. The guides were knowledgeable and contentious. The trip is rated easy to moderate and I think that is an accurate description, with it leaning more towards easy.

This walking tour was awesome. The different venues, hikes and lodging was all terrific . The single factor that made the trip so good, were the two Guides. Dani and Dani were so thoughtful, knowledgeable, and their trips to lunches and meals and wine tasting, at various venues were remarkable. Getting to know some of the locals at these venues, and visiting places off the beaten path, were one of the high points, in my view.

I have been on multiple bicycle and walking adventures and this was one of the best. The guides were exceptional. They were from Croatia and they did a great job leading us on challenging walks every day and, at th4e same time, educating us on their country. The hotels where we stayed were very nice and well located for our walks and for us to spend free time. The morning breakfast and other meals were excellent. I would highly recommend the Croatia - Dalmation Coast Adventure to my friends and anyone who is relatively physically fit. A fantastic adventure!!!
