Recipe: Strujkli from Slovenia

Published on February 24, 2015

Travelers on our Slovenia, Austria & Italy biking tour will learn how to make this traditional Slovene dish during a cooking demonstration on day 5. Typically made from buckwheat dough which is flattened, štruklji is often filled with either sweet or savory ingredients and rolled up, baked (or fried or boiled) and cut into slices to serve. For those of you who want to try your hand at making this Eastern European sweet at home, click the link below to see a great recipe courtesy of the New York Times. Ingredients
