VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations to Move Worldwide Headquarters to Williston, Vermont

VBT has made a decision to consolidate its 3 physical locations in Vermont into one new central location in Williston

BRISTOL, VT — Jan. 21, 2016 — VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations has announced that the company will relocate it’s Worldwide Headquarters, currently located in Bristol, to a new complex in Williston, Vermont. Since the relocation of their Sales and Customer Service department to Williston in 2012—and their 2014 acquisition of Waterbury-based travel company Country Walkers in 2014—VBT has been operating out of three locations in Bristol, Williston and Waterbury. “We have simply outgrown the space in Bristol and are consolidating our operations in one place for efficiency,” says VBT Chairman Gregg Marston, “plus the new office allows for a more centralized location for our dedicated associates who commute from both northern and central Vermont and can accommodate our anticipated growth.”

VBT was founded in 1971 in Bristol and is celebrating their 45^th anniversary in 2016. Over the past 4 decades the company has grown from providing weekend guided bike trips around Vermont to offering over 50 bicycling, bike & barge, and walking vacations that span the globe. “We’re so grateful to the town of Bristol and its wonderful people for their support over the years,” added Marston, “and we have very much enjoyed being part of this community for so long.”

VBT is anticipating that the move to the new facility in Williston will happen by the end of March 2016. The company hopes to host a farewell gathering for the townspeople of Bristol at the VBT house and barn on Monkton Road in Bristol at the end of March to thank them for their generosity and hospitality. Marston also stated that “we will continue to run our popular Champlain Valley & Islands and Classic Vermont bike tours through the town of Bristol and surrounding areas as we have since 1971. The tradition of showcasing how amazing an Addison County destination is to our travelers will continue.”
