Itinerary & Map
Or, Expand All Days
DAY 1: Depart U.S. / Fly overnight to Taormina

Depart from the U.S. and travel to Italy. The particulars of your arrival overseas are detailed with your flight itinerary and airline tickets.

DAY 2: Arrive in Taormina / Transfer to your hotel

Arrive at the Catania airport where a VBT representative will meet you outside of Customs. The VBT representative will have a VBT sign and will be well visible. In the event that your luggage is lost and you are delayed at the Lost & Found office, please check in with your VBT representative to let her know that you are there. Then our transfer company will take you (approximately 50 minutes) to your centrally located hotel in Taormina. The rest of the day is free to explore and dine on your own with your VBT City Information included in your Final Travel Booklet as your guide.
If you are going to be delayed meeting our transfer representative for more than 15 minutes due to delayed or lost luggage, please have airport staff page our driver with your last name so they may be notified of your delay. You may also contact our One Call travel assistance to advise of your delay and they will contact our transfer service. Our drivers are only able to wait for up to 45 minutes from the time your flight lands after which you would be responsible for your own transfer.

Please note: If you arrive early, your hotel room may not be available until 2:00 pm. You may store your luggage with the reception desk.

Please note: VBT transfer times and departure points are finalized in advance and cannot be modified for individual guests. If you fly in earlier than the scheduled program dates, transportation from the airport will be at your own expense.

DAY 3: Lunch at a local agriturismo / Warm-up ride / Welcome reception

VBT No-Air Package guests: Meet your VBT representative and the rest of the group in the lobby of our hotel at 9:30 am (Hotel Villa Belvedere, Via Bagnoli Croce 79, Taormina; Tel: +39 0942 23791 or Hotel Monte Tauro, Via Madonna delle Grazie 3, Taormina; Tel: +30 0942 24402—check your Final Itinerary to know which of the two). The VBT representative will be holding a VBT sign and will be easy to recognize. If your arrival at the hotel is scheduled later than 9:30 am or if you are delayed, you must travel at your own expenses to our hotel 3 miles south of Ragusa on the road to Marina di Ragusa (approximately 3 hours by private taxi with rates to be negotiated onsite). Please contact our first hotel (Poggio del Sole Resort) to advise of any travel delays or changes, and the staff will pass your message on to your VBT Trip Leaders.

VBT Air Package guests & Pre-Trip Extension guests: Meet your VBT representative and the rest of the group in the lobby of our Taormina hotel at 9:30 am. The VBT representative will be holding a VBT sign and will be easy to recognize.

From Taormina, we transfer with our local guide to Hotel Poggio del Sole south of Ragusa. We will stop on the way for an included lunch and oil tasting at a local agriturismo to enjoy some local specialties. The agriturismo features a restored ‘baglio’ (a typical Sicilian courtyard) and centuries-old olive trees. Our arrival at the hotel is planned for approximately 2:00 pm.

Our hotel, with its rural annexes, master house, food provision store, barn, stables and guest rooms all reflect the era. A new modern building with open spaces has been added, resulting in a very comfortable atmosphere. The outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi will certainly lure you after our long coach trip.

In the afternoon, join your Trip Leaders for a safety and bike-fitting session followed by a short warm-up ride. Later, gather with the group for a welcome cocktail reception outside on the baglio. Dinner is at the hotel's quaint hosteria.

DAY 4: Cycle to Marina di Ragusa / Explore Ragusa Ibla at night

After breakfast, we cycle the rolling southern skirts of the Province of Ragusa toward the sea. You will be immediately immersed in the quiet countryside, where miles of dry stone walls trace our progress. Here and there we see cattle lazily grazing in the shade of large carob and olive trees, and we pass masserie and elegant 18th-century villas that still belong to landowners.

Before lunch we arrive in the little main square of Marina di Ragusa, a typical Italian piazza where at sunset children, mothers and men gather to play, chat and gossip. Marina is a summer resort and its beaches in the summer are perfect for swimming after our ride. You can explore, have lunch and reward yourself with a delicious gelato. From here, you can opt to cycle or shuttle to our hotel and refresh at our hotel swimming pool and spa.

At sunset, we shuttle to Ragusa Ibla, listed among UNESCO World Sites for its Baroque palaces and churches. There, follow our local guide to learn about the Baroque architecture before picking a trattoria for dinner on your own.

DAY 5: Cycle to Scicli / Chocolate tasting in Modica / Cycle the Noto Valley / Cooking class

Today we cycle to Scicli over a rolling and extremely scenic country road. As we near this historic town, our route acts as a kind of balcony that looks over this Sicilian Baroque city, nestled in a valley between two steep rocky hills. From here, we continue to Modica and one of the more interesting visits of the week: the chocolate factory of the Bonajuto family. The Antica Dolceria Bonajuto is the oldest in town and since 1880 has processed cocoa seeds according to the old Aztecan techniques imported by the Spanish more than 400 years ago. A mouth-watering tasting is a must after our tour. Stroll Modica Bassa, or Lower Modica, and admire its Baroque churches. The city—like Ragusa, Scicli and five more towns in the area—have been listed since 2002 as UNESCO World Heritage Sites for the extraordinary importance and beauty of the late-Baroque architecture that developed after a terrible earthquake devastated Sicily in 1693. Choose a café for lunch on your own.

We start our afternoon ride from Balata di Modica on a mostly downhill route to our hotel. The landscape here is as beautiful as Tuscany: quiet country roads flanked by dry stone walls and myriad olive and carob trees. Relax at our elegant hotel, featuring a large outside swimming pool and its own spa, within walking distance. Later our hosts lead us on a walk around their large estate to pick borage, wild fennel, lemons and oranges. We take them all to the kitchen to prepare a Sicilian recipe under the guidance of our chef: eggplant parmigiana and eggplant rolls. The parmigiana is always a lot of fun and very delicious. The chef will distribute at least 10-15 copies of the recipes to work from. Next on the menu for travelers to try their hand at are cannoli. The chef shows guests how to fill the cannoli with the ricotta and sugar filling, letting each guest add their very own customized ‘touch’ (with or without chocolate chips, pistachios and more). Finally, we enjoy all the food prepared for dinner, with lots of red wine!

DAY 6: Explore the ancient fishing village of Marzamemi and tuna fishery

After a hearty breakfast, we set out to the ancient fishing village of Marzamemi, recently restored and nestled on a small promontory south of Syracuse. We pedal quiet countryside roads, mostly easy, heading to the sea. The sea and fishing village of Marzamemi was developed in the 17th century around a tuna fishery, which is now the second largest in Sicily and a national monument. The descendants of the owners, the Princes of Villadorata, still come to their palace every so often, a beautiful summer residence from the 1600’s. This is where our lunch is hosted today: a buffet meal with organic local specialties from the sea and fields.

We retrace our way to our hotel in the afternoon. Later, we shuttle to Noto for a stroll in this famous Baroque city and dinner on your own.

DAY 7: Walk the ruins of Noto Antica / Taste a delicious Sicilian meal

Today a short shuttle takes us to our starting point near Testa dell'Acqua. From here, we pedal toward the ruins of Noto Antica. The earthquake of 1693 destroyed this town, once one of Sicily's wealthiest and most beautiful; even today, not much is known about it. We park our bikes and explore the ruins with our Trip Leaders. We then set off to our next destination: a local farm that prepares delicious local specialties, including empanada.

After lunch, a mostly downhill or flat, scenic road leads us to our final destination: the elegant Hotel Borgo Pantano, set among a sea of orange and lemon groves. The hotel features an amazing swimming pool set in a manicured garden of fragrant flowers and olive trees. The hotel opened in 2010 after a long restoration of the ancient masseria. We enjoy dinner here tonight.

DAY 8: Discover Ognina beach

This morning we cycle again toward the sea and beaches, so make sure you take your towels! On quiet flat country roads, we coast to the sea until we get to one of the most popular beaches south of Syracuse, Ognina. Lots of Syracuse residents have their second home here. We loop back on a scenic route lining the coast back to the gulf of Syracuse. Here we will picnic on the private grounds of a local family. Our meal includes delicious cherry tomatoes or ‘pomodoro Pachino’, which take their name from the nearby town of Pachino where they were grown for the first time.

Later, relax in the hotel garden and enjoy the wellness center. Make sure you feel revived and ready for tonight's lecture about Syracuse and the Greeks, followed by an orientation talk about Syracuse for our Post-Trip Extension guests. Our farewell dinner is at the hotel tonight.

DAY 9: Transfer to Syracuse / Free time / VBT No-Air Package ends

VBT No-Air Package guests: After breakfast, transfer to Syracuse and the Grand Hotel Livingston Relais Spa, where you are then free to continue on your own. If you depart earlier, you must make transfer arrangements from the last hotel at your own expense. Taxi cost to Syracuse is approximately 20 euros/$30 USD (travel time approximately 20 minutes).

VBT Air Package and Post-Trip Extension guests: After breakfast, transfer by private minibus (approximately 30 minutes) to our centrally located hotel in Syracuse for your final overnight stay. We arrive at approximately 9:00 am and have the entire day to explore and visit this wonderful town.

If you have chosen the independent Post-Trip Extension to Syracuse, you remain at this hotel for the next three nights and our orientation talk at the last hotel will help you organize your free time.

DAY 10: Depart for U.S.

After breakfast* this morning you will transfer to the Catania airport (approximately 50 or 60 minutes depending on traffic) for your departing flight. Please ensure you are ready in the hotel reception area at the designated time**.

*Please note: For guests with early-morning departures, breakfast at the hotel may not be available. Please check with the front desk to verify the times that breakfast is served.

**Please note: VBT recommends that you check your transfer time in your “Transfer Reminder.” VBT transfer times and departure points are finalized in advance and cannot be modified for individual guests. If you extend your stay beyond the scheduled program dates, return transportation to the airport will be at your own expense.

  • The perfect combination of biking, scenery, history, and food

This tour was our 16th VBT biking vacation, and once again exceeded all of our expectations. The biking offered beautiful scenery on well engineered cycles, with distance and difficulty options to suit virtually every rider. Lodging was exceptional in terms of location, amenities, and comfort, with pools and spas offered at each location. All group meals offered healthy options that satisfied all tastes, including restricted diets. Our guides maintained the extremely high bar set on our previous trips. They were knowledgable, capable, accommodating, and even highly entertaining. Whether fixing minor bike maladies or setting up tasty picnics, the guides were simply superb. All guided special activities were also noteworthy for the quality of the guides, interesting inclusions, their language skills, and great value. The pre- and post trips were simply delightful, highlighted by a hike on Mt. Etna on the pre-trip and a visit inland to Piazza Amerina and it's amazing mosaics. In all, a most rewarding trip.

    Yes, I recommend this tour.

  • If you are a biking enthuiast and a traveler, this trip is awesome! It combines great riding, great food, super accommodations and local history.

The trip to the Southeastern Coastal Villages is a bucket list must. It combines great biking with great lodging for a real vacation feel. It includes stops for local history with a variety of local businesses such as a 300 year old olive grove tour with lunch. The biking routes are exceptional with views of the Mediterranean Sea. You are riding next to olive groves, orange and lemon orchards and carob groves. The views are breathtaking. The routes are mapped out and easy to follow with a stop mid morning for a snack. As a biker and vacationer, you don't have to think about a thing, just a great ride!!

I loved every minute of the trip. VBT always crosses every T and dots every I. You don't have to think or worry about a thing only what you are going to wear and That's easy bike clothes and dinner attire in the evening. They bring you to beautiful out of the way places, have you enjoy the local events and flavor of the area. I have recommended VBT to many friends and strangers that I meet along my travels. Keep up the great work. I plan on many more trips with VBT.

  • This was our first VBT Tour

This was such a fantastic trip. This was our first bike tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The accomodations were wonderful and in such beautiful locations. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable of the area but also of the history and culture. Mauro and Marco worked well together and were humorous, very delightful. The rides were challenging but not too difficult. Sicily is a beautiful country. The scenery was stunning, the wild flowers were in bloom and the fragrance of the orange and lemon groves was unforgettable. We would do this tour again.

  • We loved this vacation so much that we want to spend the money every year to go back.

This tour was by far one of the BEST vacations that we have EVER taken. Cycling the countryside of Southern Sicily gave us an experience that not every "tourist" gets to enjoy. The scenery, the FOOD (Oh my gosh!), the people and especially our trip leaders were all the BEST. The stops included local farms and off the beaten path resorts. I took 600 beautiful pictures and they were not enough! The cycling was moderate overall. The only improvement would be to add Garmin mapping devices to the cycles (extra charge included in the package). This would help in not getting lost (or, making new discoveries)!

  • Fantastic value

This tour was an excellent kick start to the summer cycling season. Enjoyed the whole experience. Was sorry could not do the Syracuse extension. The hotels were great and the food wonderful (which is what you would expect in Italy). Have been on two VBT bike trips and both times have been very impressed with the guides. Competent and patient with a comprehensive knowledge of the area. Am now looking for another tour that will fit into my travel schedule.

  • Wonderful springtime cycling trip through Sicily!

The bike routes in Sicily were well planned--from rolling hills across scenic countryside, to historic hill towns, along the coast to an ancient fishing village, to ancient ruins of Noto Antica. Edoardo and Angelo are experienced, knowledgeable trip leaders, sensitive to the varied needs of the group. Their charm, sense of humor and in depth knowledge of Sicilian culture contributed to a wonderful cycling trip. Everyday our leaders provided close-up and personal interactions with Sicilian culture: the people, the food, the architecture, archaeology and landscape. The extra activities--Modica Chocolate factory, evening visit with a local guide to Ragusa Ilba, the sunset visit to Noto were outstanding. Do not miss the pre and post trips—beautiful locales, wonderful accommodations, and knowledgeable local guides leading full day outings to Mt. Etna and to Villa del Casale!

  • Exceptional experience and value!

VBT organized the perfect trip to Sicily. Attention to every detail made the trip the most pleasurable experience I could imagine. Obviously the organizers have extensive first hand knowledge of the area including points of interest that only locals are aware of. For example lunch, a tour, and tasting olive oil in an orchard with trees over 1,000 years old was so awesome. Transportaion from site to site was flawless, the equipment we used was in perfect condition, our guides were helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The food could not have been better and our accomodations were first class and spotless. The people who traveled with VBT were peers and will be life long friends; traveling alone with VBT is not an issue. In a single word? WOW!

  • One of the best trips!

This is our 9th VBT trip and it is right up at the top. We started with the pre-trip in Taormina and a hike on Mt. Etna. In Taormina we hiked up to the old palace and down to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed Taormina. Once the biking started we were in heaven. The wild flowers were in full bloom and the scenery was incredibly. As avid cyclists we enjoyed the relaxing mornings with mostly downhill riding and the more challenging afternoon optional ride back up the hills. Perfect combination for us. This trip had a wonderful complement of scenery and ancient towns. Our guides were from Sicily and shared their love and pride of their country with us which made every experience special. Accommodations were great and transfers were seamless. This is one of the best trips we've taken!

  • Sicily is an agricultural paradise.

Each year we take a VBT trip in Sept. Our trip to Sicily was extraordinary. The first part of the cycling trip was through the agricultural paradise that it is. It was difficult to capture on film all of the acres and acres of a great selection of vegetables. We stopped along the way to break open almonds growing everywhere. Picked up some fennel along the roadside. It was just such fun seeing all of this nature. We were intrigued with the education about the history of Sicily. The terrible earthquake that destroyed towns. The piazza America the archaeological Roman ruins with all the mosaics. Rides along the sea with refreshing breezes. Some of our hotels were 5 star and what a joy to pull into at the end of the afternoon to plop into the pool. I would highly recommend this trip to those who love nature, good Italian food and wine, a challenging ride and the opportunity to visit Taormina at the end of the trip. Thank you for VBT.

  • Sicily-An Island Jewel!

Beautiful scenery, scrumptious food and wonderful guides and fellow travelers made this trip the high point of 2013 for us. We have only taken one other VBT trip but needless to say, this one surpassed all expectations, and we can't wait to go on the next one. The VBT brand fits our lifestyle to a tee. We love every aspect of the travel experience--accommodations, travel itinerary, the biking, and let's not forget the vino. VBT's attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We were in Sicily at the beginning of November and the weather was superb. Thank you for an unforgettable time.

  • Sicilian Delights

As regular travelers with VBT, we sometimes wonder which trip was “best”. It is a silly exercise since they all have common themes of great locations, sights, sounds, food, companions, and local culture, all tied together with whimsical bike routes led by experienced, hard working, and charming guides. However, Sicily is certainly at the top of the short list. If we cannot say “more than 5 stars”, our many memories include: the market vendor in Syracuse who couldn’t help but share his produce with every passerby; each picnic lunch that turned into a Sicilian feast; the rainy, muddy cycling ride to Marzememi with a group of laughing guests and guides; and the evening in Ragusa Ibla where we found that 5 hours was barely enough time for wine and dinner!

Stunning in every way. As expected ( I have traveled with VBT before) the accomodations, the food, the itinerary were all wonderful. But what made this trip extraordinary, were our guides - so alive , so funny!, and so attentive, and Sicily herself history layered, dazzling in the sunshine, and welcoming every step of the way.

What great cycling with plenty of time to relax. Mostly down hill believe it or not. With a transport to the top of the hill, we coasted all day downhill to the sea. Swiming in the crystal clear Med was a highlight not to be missed. I felt like we saw a real Sicily outside of the tourist traps. Our best time was wandering for three days in Syracuse taking in back alley restaurants and the produce market. We enjoyed late night walks for Gelato. The expresso is intoxicating.

  • Another VBT trip exceeds our expectations-

Even though I had read the VBT information about our Sicily trip, and even though I had been on three prior VBT bike trips to Italy, I wasn't sure what to expect during our visit to this island. The history of this island, the buildings and ruins dating back long before written history, the seas surrounding the island, the varied terrain, the vegetation, and the hardiness of the people provided a memorable experience. The guides' knowledge of the island's history, the planned activities, the biking, the accommodations, and the fellow bikers enhanced our trip...and the memories will linger long after we have caught up on our sleep!

  • Great Trip!

Sicily is a very exciting place to explore from the rolling countryside to the seashore, not to mention its extensive history. Our daily trips were challenging on at least one day, but the leaders and the fellow bikers were friendly and helpful. I like these biking groups because we share the same interests: travel, eating and being active. The side trips and culinary experiences were excellent. The hotels were very comfortable and the locations were relaxing. I cannot give our guides enough credit for being knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. They were there at the "tricky turns" and generally made the trip memorable.

  • A wonderful trip!

We loved the whole experience and that includes Palermo which based on some comments in this forum people did not like. Yes, they have problems, but there is a lot to do in that city. We enjoyed the city walk with the local VBT guide “ Highlights of Classical Palermo”; went to the opera, explored the back alleys, had great dinners in small restaurants and lots of wonderful wine. We took a side trip to Cefalù west of Palermo, lovely place! Our trip was in Sept/Oct, still very warm, most of the rides were on back roads through farmland which at that time of the year were pretty much bare, but grape harvest was still going on. Siracusa with its island Ortygia was a wonderful experience. We wish the trip could have been a bit longer by a couple of days, more of biking would have been nice. And, adding a rather personal note about Palermo versus Taormina. I would stay with Palermo, Taormina's charming days are long gone, before WWII it must have been "The Place", just mass tourism nowadays. Last but not least both of our two guides were such a great team caring for us and working very hard to keep us happy.

  • Well organized and lead. Great places to stay

Other than starting in Palermo, this was a great trip. I understand that in 2014, the arrival and departures are in Catania which is a great move. (except that Palermo was a good place for our personal pre-trip to start from as we stayed on the west and south coast to visit the Greek ruins.)

  • Great trip with outstanding guides!

This was our 7th VBT trip and certainly one of the best. Sicily is a wonderful experience and we feel we got a great cross-section of the country with VBT. As usual, the guides were incredible and very knowledgeable. Equipment was reliable and everything worked to perfection. Accommodation and food were terrific! Administrative details were accurate and everything was on time and as promised. Keep up the good work!!!

  • Palermo is a wonderful city

I just wanted to comment that it is unfortunate the future travelers will miss the experience of Palermo. The negative reviews of the city are unfounded. It is a city full of life, history and provides a unique opportunity to experience real life in a real city. I am certain Taormina will be a great substitute but I fear travelers will miss out on the unique one of a kind experience that is the every day Sicily experience. I will visit Palermo again and enjoy pizza, wine and the Sicilian people up close once again.

  • This tour was a cycling challenge, but Sicily is an agricultural paradise. Then you get the beauty of the Ionian Sea ride.

Sicily was probably one of my most favorite trips with VBT Andalusia Spain ranking at the top. I was quite surprised at the beauty in the countryside with all of the acres of vegetables. We had the pleasure of lemon trees being in bloom which just accentuates the aura of the area. One irritating aside were the flies. They were everywhere and wouldn't leave you alone probably because of the salt on our bodies. They were really a nuisance. The trip was more of a challenge because of the hills and the extreme heat. I would not recommend going the beginning of Sept. as we did. Some days were in the mid 90's. and that is really a challenge to keep hydrated and not get overheated. Our hotels were fabulous. I only wish the Sicilians would clean up their country as there was debris everywhere. Such a shame for such a gorgeous country.

  • A "Sicilian Trinacria": Uncommon Beauty, Delightful People, Perfect Pedaling!

My ideal tour: Beautiful and historic scenery abounds; weather just right for pedaling; a photographer's delight; the Sicilian food was superb; the guides, my fellow riders and the local population were a sheer delight; the geography, routes, and diversity of up's and down's were a cyclist's dream! A VBT classic and memory-maker like few others!

  • Most relaxing vacation of my life!

First of all, Sicily is awesome! Next, the two tour leaders were amazing! I have taken trips with other companies, which were great, but this trip with VBT took vacation to a whole other level. Everything was taken care of. I only had to show up, pedal my bike, eat and drink great food, relax at beautiful hotels, enjoy the company of wonderful people and make new friends.

  • my first trip

You only have one chance to make a first impression and VBT nailed it. This was my first bicycle trip package so I don't have much to compare it with but I went with a friend who has been on many VBT trips and some by other companies and he said this was pretty consistent with his other VBT experiences. VBT took care of all the details: the air travel was fine, ground transportation went off without a hitch, guides were absolutely first-rate, and the cycling was fabulous. Oh, and the food... the trip was in Italy. No need to say more. I went with three cycling buddies so we pushed the easy/moderate classification just a little and that certainly added to the enjoyment. But the routes were challenging enough and the scenery was spectacular. Can't say enough about the trip. It was fun and would definitely do another VBT trip again in the future. Perhaps a giro tour or a tour de france?!? Thanks to one of the guys on our tour who took this professional-quality picture.

  • Great guides, but no chance to interact with the locals

Our tour guides were excellent; could not have asked for better. Southeastern Sicily is primarily what I would call industrial farming: Large, mechanized agriculture with no small farms or villages to investigate. As a result, while we got to see some nice vistas, we never got to interact with local residents while biking. A real disappointment to me. Hotel accommodations were top-notch; but on the bike tour all of them were in remote locations so that once you got there, there was no chance to wander around and see a village or any local inhabitants. Pre-trip in Palermo: A garbage strike had been going on for a while, and the place was a dirty pit. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Post-trip in Siracusa: Loved it. Walked around town a lot, Greek ruins, small shops, tiny alleys, etc. Could have stayed there another week.

  • Great features but avoid Palermo

I am not writing a review as such because of my very negative feelings about the pretrip/arrival location (Palermo). Palermo must be removed from the itinerary - it is dirty, unkempt and the several good sites do not make up for the problems. I recommend a pretrip in Rome and arrival in Catania. Inclusion of the Valley of the Temples would be highly desirable. I would recommend this trip to a friend only if I saw that VBT was eliminating Palermo from their route.

  • Beautiful scenery, nice hotels and biking for all levels

Sicily is an interesting place where fragrances abound in the spring. Biking is great, but for those who don't enjoy downhills, the van is readily available. The hotels were very nice and people were friendly. The pre and post trips gave us an opportunity to explore on our own and we enjoyed this immensely. We forget how young our own county is when walking in cities with history that are over 2,500 yrs. old. Great tour.

  • Syracuse is the highlight!

Great to have the Sicily trip return to VBT, even if a different part of Sicily from past tours. Unless you have something specific to see in Palermo (Monreale or the Opera house), skip the pre-trip here, but don't skip the post-trip in Syracuse. A delightful size, walkable city with our hotel on the island portion Ortygia. If you're up for a great walk (or bike ride if you can rent one), head a mile and a half north in the city as you cross the bridge from Ortygia. At the War Memorial for the Africa campaign is a route converted from an abandoned rail line-- miles of a path along the coast with a shipwreck along the way and views of Mt. Etna and the sea as you head north toward Catania.

  • The inviting tranquil life of southern Siciliy

Cycle through rolling green hills dotted with abstract designs of white rocks marking ancient (and not so ancient) borders. Enjoy the ambience of a glass of wine or expresso in the outdoor cafe of a small town and watch life stroll by. This trip is a great way to relax and leave the hurry and stress of normal life behind. It rejuvenates the soul and leaves a smile on your face. Enjoy friendly people and stunning vistas. The trip does not disappoint!!
