Carolina and Jago were the BEST guides and absolutely delightful! Beautiful and varied terrain. Accommodations were average, nothing too fancy. Especially liked the Beaumont Hexham in Hexham and Radisson Blu in Edinburgh (great location and good breakfast buffet). Some of the uphill climbs would be challenging if not on an e-bike. Should be a strong rider if doing this tour on a road bike.

A great trip in a lovely part of the country. Well chosen routes with great views/vistas. E-bikes let you enjoy all of it - including Honister Pass! Castlerigg Stones, Hardrian's Wall and Vindolanda (Roman Fort ruins and museum) let's you feel like you have traveled back in time. Our guides, Dan & Carolina, were excellent in every way. Such a pleasure to experience this trip with them. On a VBT trip - just show up and have fun. 10th trip and counting - 2 more booked for 2026.
