A trip of a lifetime!

This trip exceeded my expectations! It was so well organized, our two guides were wonderful, and the biking and scenery were beautiful. There is no better way to see the Netherlands than by bike and boat, and there is no better time to go than in the spring when all the flowers are in bloom! Thank you VBT!

Amazing trip!

My father and I have done 4 trips to date with VBT, all in Italy. This was my first time to Sicily. My father and I had the best time: the places (e.g. Taormina) we visited and the food were beautiful and delicious. And of course, the best part of the trip is the company and expertise of the guides. Mauro and Sabrina are fantastic and completely made the trip for us.

Great value, plus excellent guides!

VBT came highly rated from friends and family so we knew we were in for a treat. And we were, for sure! Great value compared to other similar outfits. The guides were professional, knowledgeable, and accessible. Fellow travelers were awesome and fun to spend time with. Of course the countries we visited were beautiful and so friendly. Vietnam was awesome. We are definitely going to vacation again with VBT. No doubt.

Absolutely Gorgeous!

We recently completed the Dolomites Bike Trip with (15) ladies ranging in age from 19-82. The terrain was easy enough for everyone, especially those that opted for the e-bikes. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous, steep mountains, green valleys, with Tyrollean architecture. Our guides were friendly and knowledgable. We had a fantastic trip…thanks VBT!

You have to do this!

I wasn’t sure I would be able to do this ride. But I had no problem at all. I used an e-bike and kept up the group and had a ball! Everyone on the ride was wonderful and fun to be with. If you aren’t sure you might be up for a ride thru Spain, think again. Anyone can do it using an e-bike. I can’t wait to do my next trip!! Hum, where shall I go?

Fantastic trip

Our first trip to Europe and our first bike trip and it was incredible. VBT made the trip hassle free allowing us to enjoy every moment of our trip. Seeing Europe on a bike is the best way to really see the country. Cycling through small hamlets, farm land and along rivers and canals is magnificent. The barge crew was great, trip leaders were awesome and the food was fantastic as well. A trip of a lifetime and we will return for another VBT trip.

An extraordinary experience.

Our VBT guide team was knowledgeable, professional and great fun. They introduced us to the stunning scenery and to the political and social complexities of life in South Africa while fully attending to ride support. The pre and post extensions to Kapama and Victoria Falls provided exposure to wildlife and to beauty of the African bush and simply cannot be missed.

VBT Vermont bike tour

My wife and I recently completed a VBT tour in Vermont in the Middlebury and Vegennes area. We were looking for cool weather, the changing of the leaves and fresh air to breathe and relax. All was provided and the trip exceeded all our expectation. The accomodations were excellent. The others on the tour were so nice and the host, Gerry, was just great, going beyond what would be expected. I highly recommend this tour and Vermont Bike Tours. They took great care of us.

Scenery, riding history, art, food - it has it all

This was one of the best VBT tours we have taken. Food, riding, scenery, exploration of the art of Dali, wonderful guides and fantastic accommodations. Pre-trip in Barcelona is a must do to see the Gaudi architecture and Picasso museum as well as experience Catalonia at its best.

This was a great tour! The views of the Julian Alps are wonderful! The route is fabulous visiting 3 countries. The guides were knowledgeable, helpful and enjoyable. We appreciated all the local engagement for culture, food and history. This was our first VBT tour and we will be back!

Great Experience!

This was an absolutely delightful experience. I am very impressed with VBT’s way of supporting the local economy by hiring local guides, and setting up dinners with locals. Our hotels were great, the guides were wonderful, and i learned so much about local culture and history. Our guides, Mario and Neven, are just wonderful people and so helpful fun to be around.

Croatia: The Dalmatian Islands

Beautiful country, well planned itinerary

This was our 5th VBT trip and each one has been excellent. The countryside and the biking was varied and interesting, the day on the Aren Island provided a particularly fabulous change of pace, a fascinating local guide explained the formation of the land and the ecology and the food and accommodations we typically top notch.

Provence is a Pleasure!

Bike routes were beautiful and enjoyable! Loved the town of St. Remy and the location of our hotel. Really enjoyed Avignon and again, the location of the hotel made exploring the city very easy.

Way better than hoped

We had such a wonderful bike tour in the Mosel. We enjoyed our fellow bikers. The barge was welcoming, clean and comfortable. The guides were capable, knowledgeable about the area, anxious to make sure that each of us was comfortable on our bikes, and very funny. The crew was ready, willing and more than able to assure our safety, take care of our onboard needs and feed us delicious and beautifully presented food Also, they were so much fun. No Kidding. Even the weather cooperated. Did I mention the worth while side trips? And picture-perfect German towns?

Exceptional vacation

This was our first VBT vacation and we have already registered for a second trip. Provence and the Alpilles is a beautiful region of France with abundant fruits, vegetables and other agriculture. The bicycle travel through the French countryside gives an up-close and personal travel experience.

Beautiful locales and local dining

This was our first VBT vacation. We were very impressed with the planning, accommodations, and route. It was a wonderful experience to bike along country roads with guides who knew the area. The hotels were lovely and the meals were delicious. Everything was top-notch.

Delightful, Carefree Trip

What a lovely trip! This was my first VBT trip, and it certainly did not disappoint. Everything went off without a hitch due to all the planning of the VBT staff and our great guides. Wonderful accommodations and delightful bike rides through both scenic areas as well as historic city sections, with options for shorter or longer rides.
All the guests on the trip were friendly and helpful. Good people in the great outdoors; who could ask for better.

An excellent adventure

This was an excellent tour. We learned a great deal about Vietnam and saw parts of the country that you could only see and visit on a bicycle. The trip was very well organized and the guides were outstanding.

Heart of Europe

Everything about the bike and barge trip from Cochem to Metz was first class. The barge was well appointed, the leaders were friendly, smart and brought laughter to each day. The crew was outstanding, talented and believe it or not I gained weight on a bike trip. The chef did it with his delicious five course meals. The bike routes were well thought out, safe and the scenery was speculator.

Excellent Adventure

We thoroughly enjoyed our VBT adventure. The leaders were exceptional and shared local history and stories with us as we biked. The time split between biking, walking tours and visiting towns was perfect and we enjoyed each and every location where we stopped. We also really enjoyed the home visit that was arranged by VBT for an evening. The crew of our barge were wonderful and the food was excellent. We hated to see our tour end. We feel that we met great new friends who became family.

Trip #2 with VBT and once again the entire tour exceeded my expectations. The towns of Spain via bike were breathless. The leaders were knowledgeable, friendly, fun and organized. Loved by Trip #2 and plan to do more……

Southern exposure

The Natchez Trace is probably the most underrated cycling venue. The roads were smooth as silk and well maintained. The tour was excellent in that the guides, Doug and Michelle, are a great team and very attentive to everyone’s needs; the inns were superb; the food was wonderful; but most of all the group consisted of the best people one can hope for in a gathering like this. The guides definitely made this a no-worries vacation and Michelle, bless her heart, certainly was the embodiment of Southern hospitality; and Doug was knowledgeable in many things (although I didn’t verify everything he said in Google). Thank you for making our introduction to Mississippi a memorable and wonderful experience!

Fantastic!

I had never been to Acadia, what an introduction. This was an exceptionally well thought out adventure that gave us full exposure to Acadia and the people and culture of Maine. It was extremely well organized and first class in every way, accommodations, locations, guides, service. Safety was always paramount. Anne and Justin were a fabulous team. I will definitely be coming back to Acadia and to VBT!

Fantastic trip!

The Burgundy Wine Route trip was an exceptional vacation…it was a great mix of activity, leisure, learning and sightseeing. The trip leaders were personable, knowledgeable, and fun-loving, our fellow travelers were all interesting and friendly people, and the food, accommodations, and scenery were all first class. The daily route length choices ensured that everyone would be happy with their activity level, too. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves good food, wine, and outdoor activity. The pre and post trip extensions are also well worth it…especially the pre-trip in Lyon…there was so much to explore there!

Loved this trip!

Self-Guided tour with my friend, it was amazing, Ride-with-GPS was perfect, did not get lost anywhere. Ride Inn to Inn, picturesque villages, stone houses, just like Downtown Abbey. Felt very safe every day, Pubs and food were delicious. We had no problem with our bikes, it was a perfect trip! Note there was no leaders on this Self-Guided tour but the VBT local host that set up our bikes and make sure our luggage was delivered at every Inn was great, very helpful and friendly.

A marvelous trip in every way

Everything about this trip was perfect from the time we were picked up at the airport in Bari. Alberbello was scenic and it was great to stay in a trulli and from there, it only got better each day. Our guide Deborah was most helpful. She was there when roads were closed and a slight detour was needed and had the best advice on where to eat, what to see, and how to get the most from out trip. The rides along the coasts were out of this world. The inland rides through olive groves and farmland, equally special. We felt attended to and every need anticipated. Would do this trip another trip like this in a nanosecond. Thanks, Deborah!

Experience the beauty of the desert

My first trip to Arizona could not have been more special or memorable. I had no idea that there were so many different types of cactus. This trip included a visit to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum as well as rides through Bisbee, Tupac, Tucson and Sagauro National Park. The co-participants were fun and pleasant companions. The accommodations were wonderful. The guide leaders were extra ordinary, knowledgeable, competent, fun, and very accommodating with request. The guide leaders were local and were exceptional in reading the weather, our personal meteorologists.
