Bristol, VT. -- VBT Bicycling Vacations announces its latest North American
biking vacation, Arizona: Sonoran Splendor. The seven-day tour, which winds its
way through the Tucson Basin, debuts in November 2008.

tour operator. “The wide open spaces and soft rolling hills of the Tucson Basin make for great bicycling. We’ll ride not only through starkly beautiful desert,

expansive Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a living museum of the desert

The trip begins south of Tucson in Sonoita, continues to the artists’ enclave of
Tubac, and concludes in Tucson, with cycling routes to Patagonia, Mission San
Xavier del Bac, Sabino Canyon, and Saguaro National Park. This new vacation
offers the opportunity to learn about the culture and get to know local people,
a signature on all VBT trips. Travelers will meet wine growers at Sonoita
Vineyards, a local bird enthusiast, and some ranchers at a traditional

The first departure is scheduled for November 9, 2008, with additional dates
