VBT Customer Service Consultant

Job Description

Come join VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations, ranked 4th in Travel + Leisure magazine’s 2013 World’s Best Awards, and be part of our high-performing, international team as a full-time or part-time Customer Service Consultant. 
As a Customer Service Consultant you will have an initial training period that lasts for 2-4 weeks, and then a “nesting" period where you will shadow an experienced CSC until you are comfortable and set to go! You will take inbound calls from guests in reference to their travel plans. You will be responsible for assisting guests with various items such as adding Travel Insurance, adding Pre & Post trips, researching and resolving account issues, and taking payments. 

Additional responsibilities of the CSC role include:

Job Requirements

As a Customer Service Consultant you must be goal-oriented, flexible and able to accept constructive feedback with the goal of improving your performance. You must have an aptitude for learning, understanding and conveying services to guests. Excellent communication skills are vital for this role. You must have excellent “people" skills and enjoy assisting customers in a friendly and respectful manner. You must possess excellent problem solving skills, able to handle a variety of scenarios, and have the ability to “think on your feet". Ideal candidates are positive, energetic, enthusiastic and computer savvy.

Other requirements of the CSC role include:
High School Diploma or equivalent certification, some college preferred
Customer Service in sales, retail, food service or related experience
Previous Call Center experience, preferred
Must be computer literate and able to quickly navigate in a windows PC environment
Good Typing skills
Ability to talk on the phone, use a computer and keyboard simultaneously
Must have a “can do" attitude
Must be organized, assertive and patient

Based in our Williston location. Availability to work within the call center’s hours of operation as needed – currently Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 6:30 pm, Saturday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
