Summary: Responsible for support, monitoring and
administration of VBT Bicycling & Walking Vacations systems and network.
This full time position is based in Bristol, VT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
troubleshoot and optimize Windows network.
monitor and maintain server upgrades including hardware, application software,
operating systems, peripheral software and network equipment.
day-to-day end-user support with software and network functions as needed,
including remote users worldwide.
with the Chief Information Officer and other corporate IT staff to serve as the
primary technical liaison between the property and corporate.
- To set
and adhere to departmental operating and capital budgets as well as oversight
of hardware and software maintenance contracts.
implementation plans for acquisition of new systems hardware, upgrades,
replacements, rehabilitation and recycling.
outside technical consultants and vendors.
major systems infrastructure changes including servers, desktops,
notebook/laptops, network connection devices and security applications
including the adherence to corporate environment standards for purchasing,
maintenance and proper disposal/recycling of retired physical assets.
for maintaining, documenting and monitoring PCI (Payment Card Industry)
to work flexible hours as needed including nights and weekends as required to
complete projects and configuration changes without impacting business hours
degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with a
concentration in Information Technology. Significant work experience can
substitute for formal education.
- 5+ years
of IT experience in network administration is preferred.
- Must have
a working knowledge of various platforms including Windows, SQL, C#, ASP.NET
and other tools and utilities such as Microsoft Exchange, Citrix, and Microsoft
Terminal Services. Certification such as
Microsoft Certified Professional or Engineer is preferred.
Knowledge of AS/400 systems a plus.
Knowledge- Knowledge and prior experience with Payment Card Industry compliance
and other security compliance requirements is preferred.
in Microsoft Office suite of products is required.
