Here at VBT, we’re very excited to be partnering up with the Kelly Brush Foundation once again for one of our favorite causes. Now Vermont’s largest charity bike ride and handcycling event, VBT has sponsored the Kelly Brush Century Ride for years. In 2012, however, we’re thrilled to announce that VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations will be the title sponsor for the event. As part of our sponsorship, VBT will be giving away a trip for one to The Czech Republic, Germany & Austria as the top prize for the event’s raffle.
The event will take place on September 8 and with three different cycling options, there’s a ride for everyone! Choose between a 25, 50, or a 100 mile course route. All cyclists start and end at Middlebury College’s Alumni Field where they enjoy a fun and delicious after ride party with a full barbeque.
Proceeds from the event go to the Kelly Brush Foundation’s mission of: • Improving the quality of life for individuals living with a spinal cord injury by purchasing adaptive athletic equipment for those with financial limitations • Advocating for improving ski racing safety • Supporting research to treat and cure paralysis due to traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) • Supporting the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team As an added bonus, VBT’s September 9 Vermont: Champlain Valley & Islands tour coincides with the Kelly Brush ride this year. VBT travelers interested in arriving a day early can combine a philanthropic endeavor with their vacation—a win/win for everyone!
