Even with sunny skies and warm temperatures hanging around a bit later this year we’re still gearing up for the snow – here in Vermont and in your neck of the woods. VBT’s own Olympic Cross-Country Skier, Garrott Kuzzy, has been traveling around the country hosting dryland training clinics to get travelers ready for our new Cross-Country vacations! But hey, it hasn’t been all training. We’ve played much harder than we’ve worked.
We kicked off our string of clinics in familiar territory, hosting events in our Bristol farmhouse and at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center just outside of Burlington, Vermont. Over a dozen travelers joined us for skiing tips, a barbecue and quite a few laughs.
A few friends of VBT braved the weather in Boulder and we had a great time as the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains offered a dramatic backdrop for our clinic in Scott Carpenter Park. We wrapped up our clinic right as it began to rain, then caught up about VBT tours over a beer at Boulder Nordic Sport.
Over 25 skiers joined us on Tuesday evening. We had an excellent ski clinic, largely due to the great turnout at Bike Doc in Dousman, Wisconsin, outside of Milwaukee. Participants from Milwaukee Ski Club, Lapham Ladies, CXC Skiing and VBT Travelers all made it out to gear up for the trails this winter!
