With its soaring, snowcapped mountains, verdant grasslands and tranquil lakes, and glittering, millennia-old glaciers, Patagonia is home to some of the planet’s most spectacular landscapes.
Experience its breathtaking beauty firsthand during invigorating walks in and around Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Argentina’s largest glacier, Viedma, on foot … cruise the ice-studded, azure waters of Lake Argentino … and delight in the gelid grandeur of towering Perito Moreno Glacier. And after discovering Patagonia’s natural wonders by day, rejuvenate with relaxing stays in comfortable inns and lodges ideally situated to showcase the region’s scenic splendor.
This tour features a combination of uneven footpaths and rocky, irregular terrain over hills and valleys. Most of our walks are on National Park trails, and you can modify the length or duration of them to suit your endurance. Ice trekking on the Viedma Glacier is included. Appropriate for experienced walkers who are comfortable with ascents and descents. Several of the walks require a transfer from our hotel to
the start of the walk. Our tour leaders often use this time in the van for our
morning route review, so we can enjoy a more leisurely morning at breakfast.
