Accommodations

Casa di Lucio and Hotel Sant'Angelo

Casa di Lucio and Hotel SantThe small, intimate Casa di Lucio (sister to Hotel Sant'Angelo) – located in the fascinating Sassi district of Matera – is comprised of two renovated ancient palaces and their courtyards. Its ten adjacent guestrooms surround the courtyard, and the hotel itself is nestled among the stone city’s narrow lanes and network of stairs. Each room is designed to mirror the Sassi’s houses, with the front dug from tufa and the rear carved into the rock. The guest rooms feature a large, modern bedroom and ample amenities. Its sister property, the Hotel Sant’ Angelo Sassi, is just a few steps away and has a restaurant and spa. Complimentary WiFi is available in the lobby.

The remarkable Hotel Sant’Angelo is the result of a painstaking renovation of over 1,400 square meters of the Sassi, including cave dwellings, pathways, stairways and courtyards. It is made up of 25 historical dwellings whose interiors have been restored and divided into various rooms. The property mirrors a typical Matera neighborhood; its rooms and courtyards are laid out on a steep slope and connected by stairways and landings. Each room boasts a panoramic view of the Sassi. Complimentary WiFi is available in the lobby.

Hotel Giulio Cesare

Hotel Giulio Cesare This family run hotel is located a few steps from the Tiber River and a 10-minute walk from Piazza Del Popolo. Once a patrician villa, it has been recently redecorated in an elegant, classical style. You’ll enjoy the garden and a quiet lounge with an antique fireplace. These and other touches keep this 4-star hotel feeling very much like a family home. Breakfast, served in the garden, is said to be one of the best in Rome, because many of the products are grown by the owner in his fields north of the city. Internet is available for guests at the reception desk and a free WiFi connection is available throughout. Drinks in your room’s minibar are complimentary.

Masseria Cimino

Masseria Cimino Masseria Cimino is a fortified farmhouse dating back to the 18th Century and completely restored in the year 2005. Some blocks of the adjacent archeological site of Egnatia were used to build it in 1700, and they still show markings dating back to the Ancient Roman time. The place is peaceful and very intimate, with only 13 rooms set among century-old olive trees. The 18 hole golf course of San Domenico Golf (of which this Masseria is part) is just outside the hotel gate. The sea and private beach club are a stroll away. Complimentary WiFi is available in the lobby.

Masseria Montelauro

Masseria Montelauro The Masseria Montelauro Farmhouse, built in 1878, was restored with full respect for its original design and architecture. Its gardens retain all the colors and fruits that have always adorned the countryside. You’ll enjoy its modern amenities, too, including the swimming pool. Set in the inner court, it is surrounded by an inviting orchard. Complimentary WiFi is available in the reception area.

Masseria Torre Coccaro

Masseria Torre Coccaro The ancient, fortified Masseria Torre Coccaro was built in the 16th century. It is known for its watchtower and the centuries-old olive groves and carob trees that surround it. Today it keeps the simple and characteristic whitewashed look of old masserie, but this 5-star resort is a relaxing oasis of tranquility where food is still finely prepared from local products grown on the property. The onsite Aveda Health Club has a unique setting in a series of caves. Its Jacuzzi pools are kept at different temperatures and its hammam bath offers beauty treatments and relaxing massages. Its beautifully designed swimming pool is nestled among the olive trees and palms, perfect for a refreshing dip.

Masseria Torre del Diamante

Masseria Torre del Diamante Masseria Torre Del Diamante is located in the countryside of Fasano, dotted with century-old olive trees. Born from an historical core of an ancient "Masseria", after a careful renovation and extension process, respecting original materials, Torre del Diamante has also a wonderful pool, a restaurant featuring traditional gastronomy and a panoramic view over its enchanting natural setting. It is managed directly by the owners.

Masseria Torre Maizza

Masseria Torre Maizza This 5-star resort is part of a large hillside estate overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, just one mile from the coast and its beaches. In the 16th century it was used as a garrison and watchtower against the raids of Ottoman and Saracen Turks. Beautifully restored and refurbished, the estate includes its sister farm Masseria Torre Coccaro (another ancient watchtower restored into a 5-star country hotel), a 9-hole golf course, a small lake, and 10 hectares of land cultivated with centuries-old olive trees, carob trees, vineyards and orchards that provide fresh vegetable and fruit to the masseria’s restaurant.

Ostuni Palace Hotel

Ostuni Palace Hotel The newly opened Ostuni Palace Hotel is in the heart of Ostuni. It is a stylish property, with an ancient atmosphere that exudes comfort and elegance. The welcoming staff is happy to show guests the beauty of the hotel and of Ostuni. Breakfast is served in the vaulted-ceiling restaurant. Its cozy bar overlooks a small square, which contributes to the property’s warmth.

Patria Palace Hotel

Patria Palace Hotel The Patria Palace Hotel enhances the baroque scenery of Lecce’s historical center, called “the Florence of the South” for its beautiful buildings, churches and squares. The hotel brings to life an 18th-century marquis palace. Each room is unique, personalized with original frescoes and equipped with all modern comforts.

Tenuta Centoporte

Tenuta Centoporte The 4-star Tenuta Centoporte is a peaceful oasis on the old road between Otranto and ancient Giurdignano. This recently opened property is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and is only a few miles from Salento’s southern coast. It is located close to the ruins of Le Centoporte (“100 Doors”), an ancient abbey built during the 5th and 6th centuries, after which the hotel is named. With its seaside color scheme of bright whites and aqua-greens, Tenuta Centoporte is the perfect place to enjoy Mediterranean culture. Each tastefully appointed room has a private entry and features telephone, television, minibar and private bath with shower and hair dryer.
